People who cant control themselves shouldn't be leading young men. Why is Howard still there?
The whole program is a mess, and that is all on the person running the program. After Howard had his surgery, he should have completely stepped away, until he was phisically 100%. Him sitting on the bench is nothing but a distraction to everyone involved. For the last two seasons they act like they don't even know what defense is, and that is also on Howard. I was exicited when he got the job, now that feeling is turning to disgust.
I agree he should have set this set season out after surgery.
Hate to say it, but the program has regressed under Howard. Was really hoping he would have been successful
Here are my thoughts. If you are winning and there is drama then Keep Juwan. The problem is that he isnt winning. Fire Juwan. I love the guy. But hes not doing the job.

The situation should not have happened in front of the team both are guilty of not stepping back and taking it behind closed doors . The team in general has actually performed quite well they have been in all of the games the ones they've lost have been in single digits no blowouts they do need to tighten up the defense. They have an excellent recruiting class coming in next year
Michigan better not fire Trainer Jon Sanderson; it is time for either A.D.Warde Manuel to start a coaching search- better be the school's new Pres. Santa Ono. Beacuse of the current A.D., from his mental melt concerning NIL a day late a penny-short. If Ono gets another A.D., I would love it if he hires the best-ranked A.D. in college sports today, OU Joe Castililgone. Also, he is thinking of something other than retiring. Warde's judgment and all sorts of drama in the A.D., overall, letting go of a great B-ball coach, Erik Bakinch, as an example. Gentleman, what do you think about replacing Juwon Howard with Baylor's Scott Drew, who recently won a championship and has the best active winpct% among college coaches.? Can we just get a year when there is no drama with UofM's head coaches? This stuff is getting old. They are the ones who are supposed to provide stability, but instead are the source of the pot being stirred constantly. Come on guys, get it together.
Mike Valenti tore this story apart as a sparty fan. I could point out a few things when he stepped into his own shit comparing Izzo's Aaron Henry situation but I wont. I just think Howard needs to be done with Michigan and a part of me hates to say it because I was so hopeful for him but there's too much of an obvious pattern. It seems like he hates to lose in any way and I can respect that attitude because I'm that way too but it shouldn't escalate into physical altercations and it seems like...
Thats Valenti for ya. Accusing Michigan athletics of always being the worst when there is corruption EVERYWHERE in big name college sports like football and men's hoops.

Serious question. Why do you even listen to Valenti? He is nothing but a troll with an oversized ego who isn't a tiny fraction as knowledgeable as he claims. I don't understand why any Michigan fan would voluntarily listen to him trash UofM at every opportunity. How can there be any entertainment, enjoyment or legitimate information gained from listening to him?

I'm a Villanova fan I really liked Michigans program when they had John beilein seemed as someone out of the conference Michigan was a class act program juwan Howard though is a dirtbag and has destroyed any class or respect I had for this program really bad hire fire the man already roll with Phil and hire a new coach next year as someone whos met Phil when he was at St joes he an experienced head coach that can keep the program stable for the year if howards fired but he's not a long term solution really nice guy

If we didn't have a $uckStumbleUpTop system, the MI president, AD and booster base would get together and PAY Coach B to be the new Part time Mens Basketball Athletics Director/Mentor/Counselor/..

I love his passion for Michigan but wish they would have an individual inquiry hearing with the team and ask how the Coaching staff can improve moral and if Howard's sons throws off the dynamics of team chemistry?
So does the trainer have the say whether Jace can play?
And Juwan felt his son was good and the trainer was more concerned for Jace??

Juwan is not a leader. It should not surprise anyone that his team is in disarray and has a poor culture.
It's time to let this ticking time bomb go.
Think he is going to be asked to leave. Too many issues with not being able to control emotions.

Can someone please tell me what exactly Warde Manuel does? I mean seriously. Dude is completely useless.
Howard needs to go and has needed to go for some time now. He has been a PR nightmare for years and has completely overstayed his welcome, just like he did milking paychecks bench riding as a senior citizen on the Heat his last years in the league. He is a manchild thug who with his temper and inability to act like an adult likely would have wound up in prison if not for having a decent amount of basketball talent to pair with his 6'9" frame. I despised this hire from day 1 and haven't been surprised at all by what's transpired with him in charge. He is not a leader. He is not an example. He is an overrated alum with an NBA resume that has single-handedly tanked all the work Beilein did bringing Michigan basketball back to relevance again.
All these Michigan writers are soft I’m noticing. With nasel voices and one once athletic muscle in the history of the existence. Listening to these dudes is over hearing the nerd table discussing the athletes of the school.
