I beat the new modifier 'make haste'. It was originally supposed to be a crucifix badge grinding run, but I ended up winning, so here it is as a video for juicy views.

This has to be THE WORST balanced modifier, it is nigh impossible if you get ONE basement or huge locked room. And mind that Seek takes 40 seconds to beat, so having less, you're screwed. The timer needs to slow down or stop when you're in a locked/lever room.
I completely agree. I, for the most part, didn't find levers out in the open until the last moments. It's a bit unfair for levers to spawn in sub rooms, where the player won't check due to them being in a hurry. Plus, I was only able to survive Haste in the giant basement room because I had a crucifix

But fr tho, I'm surprised how much did the devs messed this modifier up, on paper it sounds extremely fun, tho!
IMO they should've just given it more time than we have now. Make the levers give 2 mins each, 3 if you have less than 1 minute left. That'd make it much more balanced for the hotels larger rooms
Alternatively they could just greatly increase the amount of knobs you earn from it and call it intentionally near impossible
And Dam seek , the nest, seek chase floor 2, library , electrical room

3:46 tip: that lever is always there every single time that the basement rooms generate
when you are crucify-badge hunting, the april fools voicelines also make it a bit easier due to being able to detect entities faster.

I may be wrong but, i just feel like curious and guiding are working together to help the player, like when u use a crucifix on curious light's entity and the crucifix turns into yellow (to not fail probably?)

Curious Light I can just tell is an architect that will intervene whenever they please. They can either be for us or against us. Remember they are purposefully unhelpful with their “hints”

This reminds me of a game where you're in a hotel and you have 2 minutes to escape before the severe consequences happens and also has monsters that slow your progress down (it's fully made up by me btw)

Is it just me or The BackDoors is the only floor that won't get any modifiers?
The modifiers will be only in main floors,Backdoor is a subfloor

Yes, floor 2 used to say that modifiers were coming soon, but Backdoor says that modifiers are unavailable, which means there wont be mods for backdoor

Sometimes levers will spawn on grandfather clocks and you won't be able to flick them. Hope this is fixed soon, it has costed me a few runs.

Tip to crucify haste: instead of going to door 54/55/56/57, put a crucifix in the rift so then you can get it out at the start then when he comes just use it
he couldn't because he has a modifier that disabled the rift

If you only use Make Haste, you’ll be able to use it. I literally did it this morning.
i love how they layered both the lever and the painting on the same space so you accidentally interact with painting instead of the lever and the painting is titled "not a lever" man these devs are the best!😂😂😂

Fun fact: make haste modifier took the name from a game that Lsplash caused it to get deleted due to copyright, the gane was called DOORS: ROOMS+
I'm pretty the name was just taken from the OST track of the same name
Plus, Rooms + had some stolen assets, and that's a no-no

If you haven't noticed, Blitz will only rebound if both Blitz, Oh and Make Haste modifiers are active. The reason for this is because when playing The Backdoor, Blitz will only rebound depending on the amount of time there is in the Floor, and due to the Make Haste modifier not being active and the Blitz, Oh modifier being the only one active, this will make Blitz believe that the Floors timer has ran out of time, despite the timer, levers, and Haste not being present in the Floor with modifiers, which will cause Blitz to not rebound at all.

Just asking: why did you use didn’t skip leg day? (I ask since you said it was supposed to be a badge hunting run. My guess is because you had make haste?)
I was doing hours and hours of runs back to back. Just wanted to speed up the process
I use it in my badge runs because it makes it easier to survive some entities if I can get to a hiding place faster (it also makes seek and halt irrelevant)

@tornadoguylol mostly just not finding enough switches in time ig
@@snoodgaming4528 then you gotta practice in the backdoor, here are few simple tips: you still can loot, no need to rush. to find the levers more often, first you have to understand how the game generates the rooms: the game always generates 1 room ahead, so if you're low on time and you go through the door, and theres no lever if you look around (they always spawn on walls (especially near the door so you gotta enter the room and look back to the door if theres any levers)) then go to the other door, whenever you're low at time the game increases the chance of levers spawning, so you will almost always find the lever. in the backdoor, checking the subdoors thingies is not worth it, even if you can find a lever giving you 30 seconds (the max these types of levers can give you) so you basically skip them. to find levers faster, they do a beeping sound just like the door, so when you hear a beeping sound behind a door thats not opened cuz they only beep when opened, it means there is a lever
@tornadoguylolI would like to add my fair share of observations as well:
1- Basements seem to always have one lever right from the door.
2- Much more likely to find on the main path and behind doors
3- Except if on a long locked room type where they are mostly on the siderooms.
4- If one spawns on the seek chase and it is unreachable (as in tucked in the middle of all the junk), then gg's buddy, pray to all the gods that you know to find another one in time.
5- Levers mostly spawn near the correct path to the next room if in a room with dupe doors.

@FazGuy2 because they make it so you have to be constantly rushing through to avoid suffocating to the firedamp gas, though its still not worth +25% knobs

The game will always give you levers. Just sometimes, you won't ever see them because they are placed in weird spots

The hotel has already pretty large rooms and makes Make Haste modifier nearly impossible
If The Mines had it, that was a modifier that would have made the game impossible cause The Mines rooms are way larger than the Hotel rooms
