The Indie Top 50's have been great. Everybody has different books to show, even if there really isn't 50 books.😂

Have you seen a single list with actual "indie" comics that aren't just more superheroes and genre stuff indistinguishable from Marvel/DC? I haven't.

You focus on the fact that your Preacher was a TPB, but seem to forget that it's DC/Vertigo. Charlton being an indie is also a hilarious stretch, but at least those Charlton's show good taste as opposed to all the numbskulls posting hideous crap like Lady Death or Evil Ernie as great "indie" comics. Of course, taste flew right back out the window with the revelation that the Top "indie" book was piblished by the WWE. lol

Pash Atlum - Ah, a comic snob. Personally I find the ‘what is & isnt an Indie’ debate boring & usually devolves into an ego circle jerk. And hey, Evil Ernie fans need love too. Your whole comment was a bit tasteless in my opinion so I’m not sure I’d look to you for pointers in that department. Loosen up, bud. It’s comic books. I do appreciate the critical feedback tho, it’s actually kinda refreshing. Hope you stay tuned! I’m bound to show you some stuff you like.

@@comichead8431 Well then if you find the debate between what IS and is NOT indy, "boring" then why even broach the topic in a video? Yes, there is almost nothing definitive about what is "indy" other than Marvel/DC it seems (although Preacher is definitively a DC book, regardless). And calling my comment "tasteless" and yet "refreshing' I guess shows why you can't tell the difference between...well, anything. And yeah, just comics and if that's teh rationale for nothing worth being discussing, then why bother.

@@pashatlum1687Late to this debate to contribute a point that no one asked for :) Indie is short for independent which means "on your own" which most of these books are not (in my opinion) but there are a few exceptions (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #5 is one that comes to mind) it was completely made and financed by the creators, thus making it indie. Image, Dark Horse, IDW, Dynamite, etc are all multimillion dollar companies that publish books, they do release creator owned books but having a company pay for your stuff to get printed and give you international distribution is hardly being independent if you ask me. That said, one could argue if you're making your own book and its just so good that a big company or even a small press company wants to put it out for you it may be said that can also be regarded as independent...fair enough, I've just always seen indie as anything that a creator puts out on their own, self published or at the very least put out by severely small press companies with limited distro. That of course is only my opinion though.
