I have watched lots of Finnish cottage videos and i think this was the best so far. This was probably the most authentic video about Finnish cottage life, showing all the little things that really is part of staying in a cottage! And nice that you showed all the "bad" parts too, like outdoor toilet and the lack of running water and electricity. But those things are what makes it the cottage life and what makes us get out of the normal life. Thanks for the video, well done! 👍
Thanks a lot! 🙂 I am really happy you liked it. Every video on my channel is made with lots of joy and love. That’s why I don’t post every week cause I’m trying to get the best content out.
@@TootsieBlabber Nice to hear. I did also have one of the best Juhannus and I have had a couple more of them.🙂👍 Keep up the good work with your videos.
It makes me SO homesick for the summer homes of all my family in Finland. One of them in particular is my favorite place in the world. I went twice as a young teen and then in my late 20's for one trip.Oh my, how I miss it. It's the scenic landscape I use for meditation. My mom was born there and both of my dad's parents came from there as well. Nothing like summer visits at the cottage and lots of swim and sauna. XOXOXOXOXOXO *sigh*
I'm going to visit the same region later this summer. I'm not planning on renting a cottage. I noticed the toilet had a styrophoam seat. It is excellent material for the cold weather, it turns warm immediately, i've tested it in lapland in winter. I'm surprised you needed to use the fireplace inside your room despite having sauna on the other side of the Wall. I've been in a cabin like that and it certainly didn't need any extra heat after heating up the sauna. Pasi
Lol, what's so scary about outdoor toilets? In my region, they're pretty common at summer houses (dachas as we call them). I guess the girl didn't like not only the outhouse but also the finnish soup. Again, in my coutry, soup is a regular part of the meal at lunch (or dinner) time. It's a very healthy primarily food imho.
Hi i really curious what camera and editing software u used??Your videos is incredible and really high definition since i start watching your Videos in Lapland !.

Sauna is one of the best ways to "cool down" during these hot summers. 25C+ weather considerably more tolerable after spending some time in 80-110C
I guess it makes sense 😁
@@TootsieBlabber And in the winter it warms you up
timomastosalo That’s what I like. To warm me up. 😁 I don’t like to be cooled down in any season 🙈
@@TootsieBlabber I think he meant the sweating in 100 C helps to tolerate 30c summer :) The 100 cools the 30 to a more bearable situation
timomastosalo I get it 😁 I enjoy +40 outside so I don’t like cooling down methods. Just a Croatian girl commenting here 😎
Looks lovely! Reconnecting with nature is great!
Thank you! 🙂🌸 It does.
Good and informative video as always! Hope you had a nice Juhannus.

Oh wow, you should definitely come back home. Maybe even move one day. :) I also love to use Finnish scenery for meditation. It's very calming.
That cottage has more or less all needed to live there. Reminds me a lot of mine childhood summers in Pohjanmaa inland by Rytinki :)
Agreed!! Oh wow, I can only imagine how your summers must have been 😍

Hi Pasi, it’s a great area to explore. We made a mistake by warming it. We slept on like +50 first night 😂. Next day we didn’t warm it anymore 😁
There is no safe place safe in America to bond with nature esp as female....man the energy here....❤
That is so sad.. hope you get to visit Finland soon 🥰
Finland is very safe, especially the area she was in. ❤ Please consider visiting if you ever have the chance. The summers here are magical.
