Intro Song: "Issa Trap" by Mikey Geiger
And I thought my kids were weird for watching people unbox toys. Lmfao.. look at me now
C&R licences, import bans, 922r, the NFA, its all the same. Infringements that need to go.
TheMawsJawz _ I don’t mind import bans for the reason of economic protection. Almost everything is made in other countries and we don’t know how to make anything anymore, guns are practically one of the few industries that buck this trend. The last thing we need are countries selling us guns that can’t even use the guns they make and driving out our domestic production.
@@gj1234567899999 well that gets to me seeing how I am a military surplus junkie.
I have 4 sks rifles. 3 I bought in the late 70’s for 75 bucks a piece. The other one is a bring back that I brought home from Vietnam. The previous owner didn’t need it anymore after he met up with the business end of my m14. It has the fiberglass jungle stock. It’s got a lot of pitting on the barrel and receiver but shoots like a champ.
I have a bring back sks as well that is missing rifling and it's the most accurate sks I own.
Thanks for serving, you guys.
@@AM-sd9bu I bought my bring back sks. I am also not a veteran.
Aaron Moses Amen to that ‼️🇺🇸
When I was in junior high a fellow student's dad volunteered as a surgeon in VietNam. He sent this kid an AK that they had made inoperable in the mail. We all thought that was pretty cool.
According to Ben the batch he was showcasing 5 years ago, was going to be probably the last batch ever
guacaquio got that video?
guacaquio 🤷🏻♂️
The ones that came in 5 years ago were DOGS, these are in much better condition.
@@Mr1MOA I paid 500 for a Yugo pressured by the unique opportunity, the funny part is the in a salesman myself 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️😂😂😂😂
Hell one of my local gun stores has a Yugo that’s beat to hell. They want 850!!!!!
I had a great experience with my purchase! The rifle I received had all milled metal pieces with the exception of the magazine. The scariest portion of the clean-up was, when the bolt wouldn't disassemble due to the built up gun powder around the firing pin. Soaking and hoping wasn't working fast enough for my anxiety so, I quickly grabbed a framing hammer and 3 brass roll pins to get it apart. Once cleaned and freely moving, I found the rifle had about 70% blueing with the exception of the dust cover even the stock is better than I expected. I chose the all numbers matching option and bought a 20round mag for fun vs. buying the hand select option. I am extremely pleased with everything from Classic. Transaction to transfer took about 96 hours and all went well! Thanks Classic 😎
I want one with schrapnel from a B-52 strike in it.
Arc Light. ^_^
@Phil Hall never deployed there IIRC.
These aren't Vietnam war used, these are from Albania.
china sold/send a shit ton of Type-56's there to assist the Albanians in their fight for freedom from the French (litteraly the same thing as in Vietnam, but in a different country lol)
Fr fr
"Generally Chinese guns aren't allowed to be imported anymore. There is an exception for these as they've been in another country for a 'cooling off period.'" US gun laws are ridiculous.
And unnecessary
Not as crazy as the rest of the world where people can’t even own guns!
xCkillaxC Attitude like that is what allows that to happen. “Could be worse” mentality is a terrible thing for a society.
@@xCkillaxC Except for that fact that is simply not true.
Those little rifles have quite a temper, so it is very necessary.
In 1999 a case of 20 new SKS rifles was $580 or $29 each.
in 1994 norinco Ak-47's would go on sale for 99bucks all the time.
In '96 I was offered a deal of 5 or more @ $50 ea. In hindsight....
Talk about a young man right out of high school who didn't have his priorities in order I kick myself 😆
Cracking a cosmoline case of SKS'es with the boys
Rickie Larson man I’ve looked at so many surplus guns over the years and I missed them and now they are all way higher like the Mosin Nagants and the Swiss K31 and others.
You know it's going to be good when you see the guys gloved up at the beginning of the video! I am loving all the surplus!
Man these things are non-stopping now. And I’m loving it
Picked mine up yesterday. Just finished cleaning and reassembling mine. Fairly pleased with what I received. Can't wait to get it to the range. Might get a Tokarev to go with it.
Do you have a lot of ranges open near you?
Just got mine, really nice, 96% bluing, 100% rifling, all components little to no wear, small trench art, the stock did not match and is a tad rough but Im very impressed with it! Good work Classic!
I’m assuming they sat in some Vietnam warehouse for the last 20 years. Price still steep though, it’s milsurp lower the price.
lee williams you got ripped off - they only made paratroopers for the export market out of old ones - no army every used a short Sks and certainly no paratroopers did -
Just picked up a Chinese SKS Type-56 at a gun show. I am thinking it was one of these recent imports. The seller cleaned off the cosmoline, however, I still found traces in various places and the stck required a good cleaning with a mix of boiled linseed oil and paint thinner. Once, I got the years of crud out of the pores of the wooden stock, I sealed everything up with boiled linseed oil. Looks like the original Chinese varnish/lacquer finish (found traces of the original finish inside the barrel/ receiver channel)was worn off and the military arsenal just applied boiled linseed oil.
I owned a Cinese SKS (took AK mags) back in the early, 1990's, My current SKS seems to be a better shooter, I am getting good groups with cheap steel cased ammo. No problems placing rounds on paper (8 1/2 x 11) at 200 yards.
I lather myself up with cosmoline for every sks unboxing video love it guys you rock
Lord have mercy on my credit card 💳 🤦🏽♂️
Back in the 80's a Navy buddy of mine bought 4 SKS's CHICOM surplus for I think $45.00 ea. They were never issued, still in cosmo, we had a shop party/bbq/range day, and we all pitched in and cleaned them up. Someone joked and asked him if he had a gieger detector... My friend walked into his garage and came back with one, surplus Civil Defense equip. He checked the rifles and they were slighty radio active but not dangerous. That always made me steer clear of these types of "deals". LOL
That's a great story sir. Thanks for the good laugh.
@TX .85 Of course, there was lots of beer and everyone was giving him grief about buying commy guns and someone joked about radiation, hinting that maybe China sells them tainted etc.
Damn Matt, as though these rifles aren't banged up enough already. You are not allowed to handle any of my guns.
For reals you see the other guy look at him like really😣
He’s adding some more character that he likes so much
Surplus rifles are never going to be in perfect condition unless you want to pay hundreds and hundreds of dollars for that premium.
i was going to say the same thing. Bang it around a little more, Matt (sheesh).
Matt really abusing those rifles. Keep him away from mine.
I bought my first SKS in 1991 for $99.
Me too!
Me too. I bought one on Gunbroker three years ago for $350. Now they're $400+
Me 3 ! Mine is Russian though
Lol yep should have bought the whole pallet you can buy them at gun auctions from 50 to 75 bucks a piece they make excellent deer rifles man I miss the early 90s
They were selling for $60 around me.
Ghetto Garand, awesome buy.
My Yugo has a similar S squiggle pattern to the stock and was a huge reason why I bought it. It looks so good without all the gunky cosmaline on it, anyone who buys one like that will be very happy with their purchase
Saving up to get one of these! Thanks for showing us!!! Keep up the good work guys!!!
I ordered on the 10th. Still hasn’t left the warehouse.... they really take their time when it comes to sending these out
Did yours ship yet?
We ordered one on April 9th and it arrived at the ffl on may 21 or 22
I just ordered one of these last night.
I really regret selling off the ones I bought in the 80's.
Cannot wait to get this one!
If it's like any of those in the crate, I'll keep it for sure.
Classic Firearms has the best chi-com SkS on the market! And a huge selection of firearms. Just got my SKS a couple of days ago.
Santana did you do handpick? Thinking about picking one up
@@VintageCarsandCycles I did do the best out of 10 and the all matching numbers
@@VintageCarsandCycles I got my SKS with all matching metal parts even the stock was matching. Bluing was perfect to. Very happy.
Santana awesome, thank you. I was on the fence on getting one. Heard a lot of bashing on a gun forum that what they show in the video is in better shape than what you’ll get
@@TheIndexPressure I bought one on 4/1. Received on 4/22 at FFL.
Also best of 10, numbers matching. Blueing was perfect. Bore mint bright and smooth but the stock was ruff.. Refinished with some wax. Time to do some trigger work. I love it !!
Kinda wish you ran like a free shipping event for the $300 ones or something, even with C&R the shipping and Tennessee sales tax makes this kinda painful. I'll probably buy another cracked stock one if they ever come in.
Just got picked mine up today and got it all cleaned, it took hours with all the cosmoline. Some mismatched serial numbers but it looks great after all the tlc! Hopefully tomorrow I can get the first shots through it in decades!??
How much was it?
@@sd0384 $200 I believe when they first got them
Just ordered one yesterday! Hopefully it doesnt take 2 weeks to leave the warehouse like a couple other commenters stated. Either way cant wait to get it!
Two weeks?! That’s me.. still no sign of anyone doing their job at the warehouse. No email reply’s. If you got 5 days worth of emails you really shouldn’t be advertising anything for sale until the current orders are processed. I get at least 8 spam mails a day from them about promotions. No reply on my questions however.
It was here in a week and a half. Only thing that took so long was the gun store had some issues sending my info in for the background check. Keep in mind alot of things are gonna ship slower and be processed slower due to the overload of orders not just in guns and ammo but other products. So just be patient and open minded.
Got one of these from a 3rd party still in cosmoline, even the gas tube, piston, and bolt all matched as well, was super stoked
I got a russian sks for 300 about a month ago from a gun show in yorkton sask. It came with the spring in the firing pin so no slam fire EVER. I had to zero the thing but it was ok and now its perfect. I put the target at 100yards, set the rifle on 300, put a mark at 9.8 inches high from the botttom of target, aim at the bottom and shoot and the bullets should hit the mark 9.8 inches high. Battle Zero is set , and ranges marked on leaf sights will be set also. Its from Savanah arsenal or something like that.
1968s! What's up with the rear sling swivel on the red one you dug out?
Do you think there will be any cracked stock specials?
Just bought one, Cannot wait to clean it up.
If I had to bet. These rifles will becoming in for year to come. The importer ships them out of china, to Albania, they sit for 5 years, shipped here. Considering that china made these rifles until the 80's for military use technically we could see these things come in as C&R for another 2 decades.
Those all look like they might have never been fired, and only dropped once... lol
Gott eem!!
You must be thinking about the French surplus rifles.
Man i hope u get.more or have a cracked stock special cus i bought 3 from this batch and want 2.more but u guys are out of them now.
What'd you pay
What about those side mounted sling swivels and any fiberglass stocks I remember when I got my brand new commercial Chinese sks the surplus ones had a lot of hideous looking fiberglass stocks on them and I can only imagine with arms today they will someday be a thing at premium. My commercial sks still knocking them down and only cost me $99. Booomer Win !
Very cool. The thought of what they could’ve done to dad and his generation.
Odd I went up against Chinese made AKs supplied by our own country in Afghanistan.
I'd do it again
Lance Manion Quang Tri Province, R. S. Vietnam 1970 -71. Saw many SKS in Nam. I have one and it is perfect.
Love ya Lance ..guys like you keep America great
Just purchased mine. Can’t wait until it shows up. So excited!!!
Take care of it they only go up in value.
whatfreedom7 no bubba here. Payed for all matching numbers and keeping it the way it is. Beautiful
I got my Chinese SKS back in August; it too has a chip in the stock on the left side, under the breach.
Bought one from the last haul. Wish I had bought one years ago for the prices but better than never.
Operator 35 how was the condition? Did you do hand pick? I’ve been hearing a lot of trash talk on a gun forum
@@VintageCarsandCycles It's true, these look worse in person than in the video here. Garbage guns
The most underrated rifle in America. The SKS.
imo the SKS is more durable and more reliable than any AR or AK
Just got mine today. The bluing was mint, and only one light gouge and a few dings in the stock. All numbers matching, including the stock, so overall, I'm happy with it
how long did it take to arrive from when you placed the order?
30$ sks's that will sale for top dollar cause people will pay anything these days
If these import bans didn’t exist then these would be $100 rifles like they were 15-20 years ago
Like I said Boomers Win Again !
@evov monbly I noticed you still call him friend and did you legally transfer it because your name may still be on that gun if you'z guys didn't... Just saying. Oh and thanks for the service you did there.
@evov monbly Ask for it back that's your property don't be a pussy also thank you for your service!
Flipflops Guy Who gives a crap about transfers that’s just another BS government infringement
People say if the bans were lifted the price of this gun will drop back to twenty or thirty years ago definitely have no idea Chinese workers’ salary has increased so many folds in the past 30 years. In 1990s 100 dollar is equivalent to 4 months average Chinese workers’ salary. But now 100 dollar is around 1-2 days salary.
Get the brass colour paint from rust-oleum and paint the metal butplate to a beautiful shiny brass colour
20 per level x 8 levels
x 8-lbs ea = 1200+lbs of rifles
That red one that caught one of you guys eye had it's bottom sling swivel on the side, Maybe for horse calvary and That makes it even worth more.
I’ll take a cracked stock w special pricing
249 they have em in stock
@@Letsallparty2 Nope, those rifles are missing parts and they only have barreled receivers left as of right now.
I purchased one less than a year ago, fun to shoot and it's spot on accurate. I would strongly recommend buying one.
What kind of rounds do they take?

I love SKS’s. Great video guys. 👍🏻
I have 2 when they were 100 bucks each. But for 350.00 plus why? I can buy a new AR from PSA for $378.00 shipped. You can buy a Mossberg or Remington or many brands bolt action new right at $400.00. 308, 243, 7mm, on and on. SKS when they get back to 150.00 maybe.

How amazing must it be to live in a free state
Not for much longer, all states are going to eventually jump on the antigun band wagon it's only a matter of time before any and all guns are banned.
Tony Emory Boogaloo time. If that happens I’ll gladly kill some tyrants!!!
Beautiful rifles guys. 🇺🇸🗽🦅
These rifle's and ammo are everywhere here in Canada , I mean everywhere . Crate's of rifle's and ammo at every gun show ! You could buy 5 for $500 a few years ago , now $180 ! 1400 rds $200 !
Got mine from the batch before this. I think they saw service in either Vietnam or Albania. One of my best gun investments, gonna be hard to let it go.
Just ordered one can't wait to clean it up
Now that Tapco is out of business hopefully people will start enjoying these for what they are.
Orin Jackson tapco offered a viable alternative to the midget wood stock on a happy note many other companies make stocks for sks like ati or sabertooth 😉
ARGOS CENTURIAN “No need stock, no need scope, rifle is fine.”~ Ivan
Whoa, I completely misread the title... I thought you guys caught a batch of North Vietnamese SKS's. I was scrambling to check the price on the site.
I have two out of four of my SKS that suppose to be from Vietnam (No paper work to prove it), Both worn with blade bayonets, one though has the red fiberglass stock for jungle use. great work rifles.
Bolt carrier handles were digging on the wood of the rifle next to it. Weird packaging.
Did he say covered in Corona cosmoline? Innovative way to use your riffle to eliminate your opponents.
So... you got anymore shipments of them sks rifles coming in...
I bought an sks of the previous chinese batch from last summer. Spent about $500 for a rusty rifle with a dry rotted stock. The chrome barrel is ok however. This was a select rifle that I paid extra for, I'd hate to have seen the non-select rifles. I'm done buying old war surplus.
I had an ffl and small gun business in the 80s. Sold a bunch of these for 100$.. Bought them as cheap as 70$ if I remember right. Great little guns. The Russian ones are real nice.
Wish i still had the one i bought in 1980's for $75.00,, it came with an oil bottle, ammo bandolier, & spike bayonet,, and i was foolish enough to sell it when i wanted some quick cash....dammittt
I had a Russian one traded it off years ago when it was only worth $150 🤦🏼♂️
How often do you receive sks’s / when do you think if ever will you get more? I’m looking to get one when I turn 18 in a few weeks as my first gun, also if you won’t have any for awhile could you suggest where I can find them?
You could get a yugo sks but they cost like 500 to 700
On 9:45 time stand. Why is the lower ring is on the side vs on the bottom (ring seen on the top view, but it is actually on the bottom), any answers ?
Hello Ron, I would guess that you are asking about the rear sling swivel being on the side instead of the bottom.
Just guessing I would imagine that the side mounted swivel is for a patrol sling. (Across the chest)
I have seen them both ways though Sir.
Thanks for the answer ☺
@@ronhowe1790 You're Welcome Sir
I remember these at $89. What if they dont shoot and work mechanically as they should? Am I out the $$? Are they guaranteed to work properly? Are exchanges available? I dont wan a lamp without a shade.
When y'all are looking down at the buttstock. One of them had a 36 on
I want a sks so bad but seems like they never getting anymore
Yeah this would be a nice purchase.
What are the bores like? The blueing isn't going to count for much if the barrel is worn to a smoothbore musket.
Don't let the title fool you, Vietnam surplus rifles cannot be imported to the US. Shipment highly likely from Albania, US Ally, sovereign country and legal to import from. Still a great rifle with some history just be aware they are not from Vietnam. Exported from Albania to Austria to US. To me it doesn't matter, nice piece of preserved history but I think the 'Vietnam' is tossed in to fool you into thinking it's a Vietnam conflict rifle when they are not. Still a great find, I ordered already so lets see what I get. Thanks guys, been a customer of CF for years
ScroatBagGarage they could be tho. They could have gone from nam to Austria, Albania, etc. They are the correct firearms for the era and very well could have been Vietnam riffles. They prob weren’t but still a small chance they are in fact Vietnam riffles.
Do you guys remove the cosmoline?
do they come with coronavirus infused Cosmoline??
Cosmoline kills Corvid-18, as well as boosting the immune system!
Damn, I miss the old days of mil surplus....but then again my old days were the 80's and 90's. The ad's from the 50's 60's 70's still make me cry. You want a Hotchkiss cannon? 125$ Still like the sks and these look nice , just sad to know buying crates at time are over.
I’d love to hold one of these, once again. This was the handiest piece of iron for a pilot. But not like these which are stock, un-cut. So what’s it going to take to get one of these? What about some ammo?
五六式 means "56 style / type". I love your place. It's like a little kid walking into a candy store. I am sure if I get in there and I will never want to come out. You guys are great. How much does this SKS run? Thanks.
Those are post 1967 because their triggers are stamped.
They are making a killing on these Chinese SKS's. Theres absolutely no reason those rifles need to be marked up that high on price. Classic firearms has over priced all the surplus guns to the point collecting them is no longer a hobby anymore.
depends on what they got them for. the market keeps going up. remember these things were 80 bucks like 30 years ago. A lot changes in 30 years. Look at the price of gas.
Picked up another one bluing is great, stock good, matching numbers number 8 😁

there shouldnt be any bans on guns! thats the crazy thing
