- If you're wondering, no, I did not use a modded controller for this segment. All I used was my trusty Xbox One controller. The reason I can shoot fast is because I hold the controller in such a way where my left index finger is tapping the X button while I use my right thumb on the Y button and I use my left palm to control the ship. Uncomfortable? Nah. Memorizing the enemies that come at you is super helpful in surviving. Also, you don't need to dodge the bullets that come at you. As long as you move out of the way, you're good. However, dodging is helpful when in a tight spot.

Bayonetta on the hardest difficulty with a few minor limitations to ensure I'm not cheesing through the game with exploitable strategies.
• Scarborough Fair must be set to Pair A. All other weapons can be swapped around in Pair B.
• No Rodin
• No Pulley's Butterfly
• No Bracelet of Time
• No Evil Harvest Rosary
• No Kilgore/Durga glitch
• No Kilgore jumping exploit (using it in normal combos is fine)
Lets see how far I can go with this run. This is just a side project that I intend to complete all the way to chapter 16, even if it takes me a decade to do (since I'm not good at Bayonetta :P). This will not interfere with any let's plays I have in mind. This is just something I wanted to add to my channel to show off that I can be decent at Bayonetta and not just a stylish combo(-er?) type player.

The worst part is the plane bullshit
The main thing I hated about this chapter was the fact that Jeanne should've been in her own boss chapter. To redo this WHOLE chapter over because she clipped you once...kinda like a "throw your controller" type moment lol. Her fights legit took longer than most actual bosses.
The fight has checkpoints so you can just quit to the title screen and load the checkpoint to avoid redoing the whole chapter and still nab the pure platinum.

How do you deal with Jeanne so easily? Honestly you are the one of the best Bayonetta player I have ever seen.
What you're not seeing is the endless amount of retries I had to deal with. This isn't one of those "boom bam DONE" videos. It takes a whole day for me to get it right. When dealing with Jeanne, it boils down to lightning fast reflexes, spotting opening for punishment and a tad bit of luck. That said, my one true strategy for dealing with Jeanne aside from dodging everything is to go for the PPPKKK combo because Bayonetta's leg sweeps make Jeanne fall. You'll notice I try and go for the sweeps and drop a bomb at the same time so that Jeanne can't escape the blast.
If you want someone who can fight Jeanne with true style, look up Urser. He's miles better than me at this game.
@@SetnaroXi understand your suffering, yesterday i did pure platinum in this chapter and it was pure hell, the jeanne battle is extremely hard, because she just spam wicked weaves or the same attacks, she also dodges a lot of thing and you need to be careful or she can damage you (but easily the best fight in the game)
I’d fight Jeanne 100 times just to never get that rocket part right. I HATE that section.
I love that section.
Then again, I enjoy SEGA arcade games.

The jeanne fight on Nintendo switch (handheld mode) can be annoying, it slows down pretty bad to the point that the evade takes a sec to activate so I get fucked up by jeanne especially on the rocket thingy
The Switch version does have unfortunate poor performances, and also input lag, so that's a lot of factors being played against you.
@@SetnaroX lol, I thought the input lag was just my controller, it's hard to to the dodge-offset.
Out of vid question. But what is the best followup after the enemy is airborne after i ppkp or launch i just waste time doing button mashing.

I know this video is old but how do you do wicked weaves so consistently is there a combo I dont know or something?
Wicked weave in terms of the missiles I'm shooting or just wicked weaves in normal combat gameplay?

@@mayonetta1406 ok, so the easiest way to understand wicked weaves is to view them as combo enders. You typically get a wicked weave by properly finishing your combos. There's a lot of combos that have these as enders, like PKP, PPKKK, PPPKKK and so on and so forth. You have to commit to finishing these combos, otherwise you'll just start over and rarely throw one out. This is why learning to dodge offset is so important; it lets you finish combos regardless if you dodged or not. The other way to throw out weaves is to purchase the heel stomp and tetsuzanko ability. These moves give you an instant weave attack but you need to have 2 magic points in order to do this. Use all of these abilities together and you'll be able to throw out constant weaves, which is ultimately the name of the game in NSIC difficulty since you have no witch time.

Verse 1 is the worse! When they shoot the green energy you have to dodge every millisecond and it makes me dizzy!
Don't mash dodge in these segments. MOVE your rocket around instead. When enemies shoot their projectiles at you, it targets where you are the moment it was shot. They WILL NOT home in on you, so just move out of the way. A good tip I give people is to keep moving your rocket around in large circles, counter-clockwise. You DON'T need to be spamming dodge. Only do that if a projectile is within inches of hitting you.

3:29 how did you destroy fortitudo within seconds and why isn't controlling so cursed?
Missiles. You need to reserve your missiles for Fortitudo and the other bosses if you want to kill it fast. You can equip Eternal Testimony if you want to have a handy missile at all times since it autobuilds magic. You can also buy the golden moon pearl prior to playing this chapter for yet another magic build, which stacks with Eternal Testimony.
As for controlling? Well, just don't abuse dodge. Keep circling around. Dodging should only be used if you are in a very tight spot where just simply moving won't keep you safe.
@@SetnaroX for controlling I mean on keyboard when you press W you are going below but supposed to go higher and S which is opposite. It's actually difficult to get used to these controlls
@snzsentenzaxd Oh, that's just the inverted controls, up is down and down is up. That's typical for a lot of games that feature jets and planes, like Ace Combat. You can change it so up is up and down is down by going into the control options, selecting the controls for the mini-games, and disabling the inverted controls there.

@@snzsentenzaxd Eternal Testimony is an accessory that becomes available to purchase in Rodin's shop when you've collected 50 tears of blood (or you can just use the telephone cheat get it). It simply replenishes 2 magic orbs anytime you run out of magic.

You can do it, if you use the bracelet of butterfly is "easy", you can use the bacillions guns (the laser guns i guess), that gun's bullet, cant be blocked by the enemies, so it can hit almost every time, also the checkpoints can make the battle "easier"... But still is trial and error
