To all the friends of walking with the taxi driver. It is with sad news that Janice, my mum sadly pasted away on the 1st June 2020. So it is with great sadness that this is her last video she ever posted with my dad John. Please look out for her website which I am currently looking to get reinstated as much as possible with links to you-tube. Thank you to all your kind words and to all that loved their walks. Greatly missed and loved by her family and friends. Xx
We are so so sorry to hear of your very sad loss. We have enjoyed all of the videos from your mum and dad and have been quite concerned by the long gap since their last film, and were hoping their was nothing seriously wrong. Thank you for taking the time to inform all their many viewers. Please accept our deepest condolences to you all. Take care of yourselves Michael and Brenda
My family and I were so sorry to read the sad news about your mum. We don't want to impose on your privacy but do let us know how your dad is please. We do hope he is keeping well? Your parents video's were so enjoyable. God bless, Andrew & family in west Cornwall.
Hi Paul, we were there in April / May time just visiting and looking over the place. As well as what we have shown you we noticed there were baby avocet's and Mandarin Ducks but we don't know whether they were breeding or not. There was also a large amount of sand martins nesting in the farest quarry plus a lot of other small birds including kingfisher's. As you head back from the canal on either side of the track you may see a number of deer grazing. This is a fantastic walk as a lone bird watcher or with your family. All the best The Taxi Driver
@@thetaxidriverj Thanks for providing all this additional info. I'll definitely be doing this walk and will let you know how I get on. Thanks again, much appreciated. Paul Beachcroft
Hello taxidriver: We have finished watching all of your videos but we’re wondering if you are okay with all that is going on in the world. Hope you are okay. We think you and your videos are great. Love to Janice as well. Let us know that everything is okay. Thanks Frank and Anne
I enjoyed this excursion through the North Cave Wetlands ! A lovely area. Thanks so much ! Wishing you and Janis all the best for the New Year, 2020 !!! Cheers and best always, Andrea
Hi Andrea hope you had a wonderful Christmas and New Year. We were all set for getting some walks filmed in the Lakes in the next two days but the wind forcast is not in our favour so we are having two days out in the Dales instead looking for new walk ideas. Hopefully in the next week or two we will get a frost and some sunshine and which is perfect for filming. We are looking forward to a great year. All the best The Taxi Driver
Love your videos ! Hope you are both well and safe ,possibly things will change for the better come summer ,and we can travel again in this wonderful Island .We will certainly cross over border and head for Yorkshire .”Awe the best”
Thank you Jennie we have some good walks planned for this year and are itching to get on with them before the end of the month. all the best The Taxi Driver
Thank you once again my friend. Always enjoy your videos. We have a very active Audubon Society group here locally and I've shared your video with them. It is interesting to see the "hides' and the various birds. Keep "moving forward" dear sir.
Hi FF824 we had to look up Audubon Society before we could reply, Audubon being a word we have never heard before. We agree with you 100%. The North Cave Wetlands are the result of mineral extractions ie sand and gravel. As you can see when the ponds have been extracted and landscaped properly it only takes a few years for various types of bird life to thrive and breed in large numbers. once the birds have settled and get used to the machinery both can live and work side by side. As each pond is dug out and landscaped you've got natural expansion plus all the mammals, insects and butterflies, that live in the grassland and all the fish and amphibians that live in the ponds that are also the food for the small birds which in turn can be food for birds of prey. We have some fabulous wetlands in North Yorkshire, a lot of them old industrial sites ie coal extraction and thanks to the forward thinking of the wildlife and bird societies these are easily accessible to the public including families and wheelchairs. Some of them with cafes, toilets and educational areas for school parties. When we come across some more wetlands and nature reserves we will be pleased to add them to our site. All the best The Taxi Driver
Hello Dust, yesterday we were in the Yorkshire Dales filming a tiny walk near Pateley Bridge keeping away from everyone. Last one for a while but we had a fabulous day. All the best The Taxi Driver
If you look at your camera at the car park you'll see a black shape coming down from the top left corner of the film looks like a ghost or spirit unless it's not. Atb
Hi Foxylady we didn't notice it while we were filming we think it was an insect but on the other hand it may have been a ghost. All the best The Taxi Driver
