Say to the air: You are felt by hands but hidden by the eyes of the people; "Who is it that hides you''?
واسأل بطون النحل كيف تقاطرت * * * شهداً وقل للشهد من حلاك
And ask the belly of the bee how it flows its honey- and say to the honey "Who made you sweet?
وإذا رايت البدر يسري ناشراً * * * أنواره فاساله من أسراكـــا
When you see the Full moon gleam in it's splendour - ask him who is that made you bright?
واسأل شعاع الشمس يدنو وهي * * * أبعد كل شيء مالذي أدناك
When you the sun approach while it is of the furthest of things - ask who is it that made you approach?
قل للجنين يعيش معزولا بلا * * * راعي ومرعى ماالذي يرعاك
Say to the fetus who lived isolated without one to look after it, Who is it that looks after you?
قل للوليد بكى وأجهش بالبكاء * * * لدى الولادة ما الذي أبكاك
Say to the newborn that cries and bursts in tears at birth: '' Who is it that makes you cry ''?
لو أن قلبي شك لم يك مؤمنا * * * بكريم عفوك ما غوى وعصاك
If my heart had doubted the generosity of your forgiveness, it would not have been a believer and would not have been deceived and disobeyed you
يا مدرك الأبصار والأبصار لا * * * تدري له ولكنهه إدراك
Oh Allah, You are aware of our sight but our sight can't comprehend your Almighty's infinite power and greatness
بل سائل اللبن المصفى كان بين * * * دم وفرث ما الذي صفاك
Rather ask the pure milk which was from the midst of digested food and blood - ''Who refined you"?
قل للنبات يجف بعد تعهــد * * * ورعايـــــة من بالجفاف رماك
Say to the grass that dries up after a time; "Who is it that struck you with drought"?
وإذا رأيت النبت في الصحراء يربو * * * وحده فاسأله من أرباك
And when you see the plant grow in the desert alone - ask him who is that cares for you?
وإذا ترى صخرا تفجر بالمياه * * * فسأله من بالماء شق صفاك
When you see the rock explode with flowing water - ask him who was it that cracked you with water?
يا مرسل األطيار تصدح في الربا * * * صدحاتها إلهام فيض سناك
O sender of birds singing in the sky, their tweets inspiration of your splendours and mercy
يا مجري الأنهار : ما جريانها * * * إلا انفعالة قطرة لنداك
O streamer of rivers: their flow is nothing but the flow of a drop of rain
رباه هأنذا خلصت من الهوى * * * واستقبل القلب الخلي هواكـــا
Oh God, here I am, i have set my heart free. Do you accept a pure heart filled with your love?
ذقت الهوا مراً ولم أذق الهوى *** حلوا يا رب قبل أن القاكــا
Oh God, I was lost in my path and suffered the bitterness of misguidance, and I did not know the sweetness of love except through Your guidance
أنا كنت يا ربي أسير غشاوة * * * رانت على قلبي فضل سناك
I was captive to a veil that blinded my heart from seeing the path of Your guidance
واليوم يا ربي مسحت غشاوتي * * * وبدأت بالقلب البصير أراكــــا
Oh my God, today I have erased my confusion and started to see you with the conscious heart
هذي عجائب طالما أخــــــذت بهــــــا * * * عيناك وانفتحت بهــــا أذناكـــــــــا
These are wonders that are present - as long as you look for it and open you ears
والله في كـــــــــل العجائب ماثـــــــل * * * إن لم تكن تــــــــراه فهو يراكـــــــا
God is present in all wonders. If you do not see Him, He sees you
يأيها االنسان مهلا واتئذ * * * واشكر لربك فضل ما أولاكـــا
O man, be patient and behave, and thank your God for the bounty He has bestowed upon you
واسجد لموالك القدير فإنما * * * مستحدثات العلم من مولاكـــــا
And prostrate to your Almighty God , for all innovations in knowledge are from Allah
