Thanks, Stephanie, as usual and always for walking us through another beautiful project. I am grateful for your creativity and your willingness to share your talent with us.
We call you the Bead Einstein! Combined creativity with extreme problem solving skills (and apparent need to problem solve like a scientist), Yep, like a scientist! (suggest this book to understand what I mean, Godel Escher & Bach). Creativity within a formulaic expression! True Brilliance. I dropped a large number of large expensive S. fancy stones and ended up with chips/cracks/scarred foil! Oops! So, I bought from the Chinese company, Panda Hall (shipping location in NJ now), inventory changes daily. 29 mm x20 mm tear drop fancy stones are $13 for 60 mixed colors. 16mm rivolis are $13 for 144 total rivolis! I've bought tens of thousands of dollars in semiprecious stones (over many years) from them and they have always been reliable. They have two China locations and the Panda Whole (in china and anyone can buy) sells miyuki beads in all colors in 11/0 & 15/0s. But, I buy what inventory they have in NJ for beading crystals & findings (needles too). So, if you cannot find certain colors of beads it's Panda Whole in China, but limited crystal inventory in NJ for quick purchase. I coat all crystals with clear top coat of nail polish (2 coats) before making jewelry with them.
@@BronzeponyBeadedJewelry So if you want gemstones it's Panda Hall (China 3 weeks delivery). If you want miyuki beads Panda Whole (3 weeks). Or, to buy gemstones directly from the mines (worldwide) in large quantities buy from Panda Whole (possibly several months). All gemstones up to about 10 strands each stone, findings, spacers, wire guards, crimps, crimp covers, tons of toggles, (maybe 25 for $9), sterling, Tibetan silver, glass rondelles, bicones, most anything you want buy from Panda Hall (China and 3 weeks for delivery). Never charged import fees, and totally reliable, as well as cheap and higher quality, and they tell you when a stone is dyed (usually, they're all dyed), or if they are not real stone (as are most druzy) and synthetic, they tel you.
Hi Stephanie, your design is gorgeous! Thank you for sharing it with us! I have a little problem: When I use 30 delicas for the bezel it's too narrow. I tried Chinese stones which are supposed to be 14x10 mm ( measured them, they are), but it's a bit too small. I also tried with genuine Swarovski crystals and it's also a bit too tight. Can I use 32 delicas for the bezel or will I have problems later when I assemble the earring?
@@BronzeponyBeadedJewelry Thank you for the quick reply! I don't know why it doesn't fit, I counted three times, to make sure I had enough beads. But the count was right. Perhaps it's because I tend to bead quite tight. I'll try with 32 delicas, because I really like the design.
I've only tried the peyote stitch (flat) a few times and failed miserably. I _really_ want to do bezels! Do you need to matter the flat version first? Thanks!
Yes, you should understand and master flat peyote first. You can do a bezel without that knowledge but it will be so helpful to understand the workings of the stitch. Try one of my peyote projects in my peyote playlist . Use large beads like 8/0 to make it easier. You’ll be glad you learned flat peyote. ua-cam.com/play/PLY2Q8yUg3uwS3o22MNUm2-YbvQDLzzYgE.html
I ordered the champagne Miyuki 11/0 seed beads last year by ACCIDENT! 🤷🏼♀️ Now, they are my go to gold color! I don’t like “gold” that much. I find this Champagne color to be much softer, more elegant. I have it in delicas, 11/0, 15/0 as well as the matte version in both sizes💖 I don’t know..maybe I just love the name 🥂 🙋🏼♀️😂💕🧚🏼♀️🌼 Excited to try these earrings 😊
Adorable earrings, Stephanie! I really enjoyed the video for all the elements that can be applied to other bezels, like the stitch in the ditch with an 11/0 ... love that! And the four 4mm pearls could be a taking off point too for making a dangle earring with a drop or some other kind of crystal. Yum... lots of possibilities... you’re such an inspiration!
dear Stephanie, i need your help to make a Juliet ring, after bezel the stone may i add a band not in peyote but in herringbone stitch, and must i close a bit on the back the bezel? let me know when my comment will be notify to you even though this video was in september, thanks my dear great designer and tutor, love ❤️❤️❤️
Hi Angela ❤️ Yes you can add a herringbone band. I don’t usually close the bezel on the back but you could add a few more rounds of peyote on the back decreasing as you approach the center. Decrease by sewing though just the beads without adding beads where necessary.
Thank you for sharing! I love and admire your work. It seems since we are into COVID and masks I am doing pendants and this will make a very pretty one!❤
Hi Stephanie. LOVE LOVE LOVE your videos. I love leverbacks. I noticed you sew the leverback right to the earrings. This is so much simpler than messing with jumprings however, I worry about the wire slipping through the little slit in the loop. Have you ever had this happen?
I’m new to this. When I hear X OC bead, I understand that to be referencing the size. Right? However, when I hear Delica or Iko, is that a style of bead or a brand name? If so, do they only come in one size? I guess what I’m asking is why the size of these beads are never reference. Again, I’m very new to this.
Thanks, Stephanie, as usual and always for walking us through another beautiful project. I am grateful for your creativity and your willingness to share your talent with us.
You’re most welcome Sue🙏😊🌸 Thank you so much for joining me on the beading journey 💙

Hmmm... 30 should fit but you can try 32. You can always adjust a bit if needed when you assemble the earring.

What can I say... This is yet another elegant piece from an elegant lady...
Thank you 🙏
Love, what needles do you prefer, mine keep breaking.
Thank you 🙏 I use Pony beading needles most of the time. They bend rather than break so I can bend them back with a pliers and use them again.
