More than 20 nations, including Russians and Ukrainians, play together with the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra. It is our purpose as an orchestra to send a symphonic signal of solidarity and hope for peace in these difficult times. For this reason we recorded the piece "Prayer for the Ukraine" by the Ukrainian composer Valentin Silvestrov (arranged for orchestra by Eduard Resatsch) with our chief conductor Jakub Hrůša. This sign of solidarity is the musical expression of what moves all of us - the entire orchestra, chief conductor Jakub Hrůša and our management - in our hearts these days. We will also open our concerts this week with this work.
