@@AcXr50 understood, but it’s still apples and oranges. Spies dominated World Superbike during that time. Very impressive for a rookie who had never raced on those tracks.
That's why I love bikes, as like you said you can basically own one of these bikes, well close enough... But what if you wanted an F1 car for the road... hmmm nothing like that you can by for the road :D
Well, a road going motorcycle still retains the shape of a GP bike and still has all the same controls, riding a 1000cc sports bike on the road / track at least gives some idea of what a GP bike would be like. The same cannot be said for road going cars and GP (F1 cars) so I think with bike racing people can relate to it more.
yes :) but let me tell u that That bike is no near similar to the standard r1 :) in any case is not a bad time at all considering the fact is 10 time cheaper than a prototype XD
Che fenomeno che era, animale vero! Fantastico!
ben spies the king
@AcXr50 This year the track is changed, so not comparable. You should look at the 2009 Motogp time, which was 1:36.0
Porca zozza che giro.... ho sbk X per pc e non riesco a battere il record di Spies....
MotoGp for this years pole was a 1:34.7, 3 seconds faster then Ben on the R1. Not too bad for a bike YOU could potentially own.
Really, if you got 200K + !!
Ben was not racing in the future, so why make this comparison?

@hismindovermatter I understand what you're saying. but i disagree. modifying something is greatly different than creating(MotoGP) something...
A ,,,,,FONDO,,,,SUPER
@HeyHuub So what youre saying is Ben is jesus!
