Love you videos, very inspiring and motivating to stay on course with my Lego journey!!❤❤❤ you can use a wet dish cloth under the chopper so it doesn’t slide while you chopping.🤗🤗🥰
I too have hashimotos and have been struggling with my weight. I also struggle with depression, low energy, PTSD, and ADHD, so I have a lot of trouble finding anything that helps or works and it’s very frustrating. I will definitely check this out.
Quick question, what is the song playing on the video while you’re doing the dishes at the 17:00 timestamp. I would love to find it to listen to and possibly add to my library. Will you be sharing another music playlist anytime soon? Also what is the intro music for this channel? My daughter hears it and comes running and does the hum thing along with it.🤣💕 and she goes, “we have a new Amanda!” Or “we have a new Crazy Life!” Been watching since mid 2019
If you wash your rice in cold water a few times until the water is almost clear, it will remove the excess starch. The starch is what is making your rice brown on the bottom.
@@annfoehner4240 Yes, i rinse the water, then add whatever amount of water you need to cook the rice, that way, the water is clear and won't cause the browning on the bottom.
You can tell you slimmed down, Amanda! You look great. I also have struggled with my weight. I recently found out I have hypothyroid on top of my lupus and rheumatoid arthritis. So I know how hard it is. Just wanted to cheer you on and say you look great!!!
Aldi is a German company and the way it works is in an European way. Many European countries have the coin system for the shopping carts. Also there's a EU regulation for not using plastic bags in supermarkets and other kinds of shops, so they all offer reusable shopping bags. I keep them in the car boot so they are always on hand when going shopping. Packing our own groceries is also typical. Prices are great in Aldi all over the countries it has presence. I normally buy my fresh products, that is fruit and vegetables, meat and fish from Aldi. They also have a huge variety of cheese. Their middle isle weekly products are incredible and very affordable. I have the App, and I keep an eye on what new products are going to come in. Thanks for the meal ideas! Have a great day.
Just FYI, if you store your bananas in the fridge when they are just at the ripeness you want them, they will stay that same ripeness and not go mushy for almost 2 weeks. You're looking so amazing, Amanda! What an inspiration you are for so many who are struggling, not only with weight but with all the wonderful things you teach us. Thanks for all you do and share!
Yes we had one of those sprinkler growing up!!! We loved it all of the neighbors did too!!! The next thing you knew we all had them!!! God Bless Us All!!!
Amanda, I'm a huge fan of Aldi's. They have a great selection at amazing prices. I shop several supermarkets to get the best price for my groceries. It's a mix of a local stores called Food Bazaar and Stop & Shop plus Trader Joe's and Aldi's. I rather take the time to shop up to 4 stops to save money especially since I'm on a wellness and weight loss journey. Healthier and organic options can come with a higher price tag. The mix of stores save me $ where possible. Congrats on the 37 lb loss. Happy to hear as I know you've been on the journey to a healthier living to tackle your medical condition. Very inspiring 👌🏽🙌🏽🛒🍋🍇🫐🥑🫒🍅💪🏽
What they call organic really isn't because they have to spray the produce from other countries; in the trucks that transport them to North America. Now with the spray, they are no longer organic and yet we are paying for the organic prices. People are getting ripped off. I know this because my brother-in-law was a truck driver that transported anything and everything but when it came to produce somebody had to spray it all so that there would be no insects or spiders coming into North America (including Canada). I thought you may all want to know this fact.
I am lucky enough to have a Winco just two minute drive from my house so I do the majority of my grocery shopping there. The rest comes from either Costco or my local Kroger where I shop the weekly sale items.
Today's video was wonderful. Plenty of tips. I never thought to put fruit in a mason jar. Going to try that one. One thing I noticed was the prices at Aldi's. We have one here and I have never shopped there. The fruit and veggies looked so fresh. May give them a try. I usually shop at Walmart's because I know where everything this are. During the summer I like home grown when I can find it. Loved the recipe you shared going to try that one for sure. Glad the boys are home to help you out. Thanks again for the motivation today and till next time.😊
The Aldi bags are really good quality too! I’ve started using them everywhere because I like using reusable bags while I’m out shopping. I also have a menu board and it’s been awesome for planning our week, budgeting, and not wasting food we aren’t eating.
U R DOING A FANTASTIC JOB ON UR WEIGHT LOSS IM VERY PROUD OF U FOR STICKING WITH IT ❤ GREAT JOB AMANDA KEEP UP THE AMAZING JOB THAT U DO MUCH APPRECIATED N MUCH LOVE ❤
Oh yeah I'm getting me one of those towels because I absolutely love the collection of your hand towels they are the best kitchen towels I've ever had❤❤
Happy Monday Amanda love the meal prep looks yummy 😋. The sprinkler omg memories. Good idea. Can't wait fir the room make over video. Have a great rest of your week😊
I really like your videos. Goo Gone is great for removing stickers. Also, placing a damp paper towel under your cutting board will keep it from moving . 😊
I live in the middle of nowhere, the closest grocery store is 15 miles away. I typically shop Walmart and Marketplace which is next door. Before I go to the store I shop my garden or freezer first to determine my menu list so that the shopping is just to get what I need for the recipes.
Your channel was recommended to me because of your auto immune disease video as I have one as well. I’m glad I found you and love your content. I subscribed immediately!!! 🤩
Love your videos. Congrats on the weight loss. That is so awesome! I am going to start back at Aldi's and menu planning and meal prepping all because of your video. I also love the yogurt idea. I will be eating a pack of mandarin oranges to save the cups now. I am totally trying it instead of paying $5 for the yogurt at Chic Fila. It is so good though. I ordered a sprinkler thing off Amazon that you can put at the top of your trampoline all the way around it and it works great. We did the sprinkler thing too and someone jumped on it and of course got hurt so that was it for that idea. LOL.
I cannot believe those awesome prices at Aldis! We don't have an Aldis where I live ( Canada ), but if we did, I'd be there in a heartbeat! Looking at those prices, I felt like it was 1998 again! We just did our groceries & one thing of blueberries was $7.00....... one thing of 4 chicken breasts is $21.00 or more...... one box of cereal is now $7.00 to $9.00.... it's so hard to keep up. I really miss prices like the ones you are showing - - food should not be expensive.
I've heard the same thing about keeping fruit in mason jars, so now with your confirmation, I'll be buying some large mason jars. BTW, I absolutely love your spirit and voice. You are so kind and lovely to watch. You're a great mom. I too have thyroid disease and have had difficulty losing weight too. You've encouraged me to go back to keto and intermittent fasting. (I love FACTOR) Thanks for sharing your crazy life with us, I truly enjoy it. (And your sister's channel too, I think she has a channel either way. I've seen a video with her in it. LOL) Take care, friend 😂
It's me, my hubby and 17 yr old son. So costco once a month and then Krogers. I've gone to my Aldis but it's not a great one. I also go to Meijer, it's a Michigan chain very similar to Walmarts. Mt Walmart's are trash but I'll go every so often (rarely)
Used banana peal put in bender with water put root of plant don’t whole thing go around plants and sure you water it one week you notice starting turn green. Make should sure plants have water because heat it’s dried. My flowers planted doing great are deep green . It works
When I lived in AZ we had two rosemary bushes. I think that the rosemary you bought may need more depth to the soil. In all probability it should be planted outside to do the best.
Really enjoyed watching this video, lots of great ideas for meal prep, that tip for the granola over the yoghurt and fruit in the mason jars, excellent 👍. And can I just say, your looking great, and you seem a lot happier in yourself now. See you soon. 🥰🇬🇧🐾🐾🍄🌷
That last time I saw one of your videos, you lived in Utah and were talking about moving to Arizona. This popped up in my feed and I can’t help but laugh that I nearly instantly recognize that Aldi as the one by my parents’ house. (I grew up there but am currently living elsewhere.) Hope you and your family are enjoying your newish hometown!
Haha omgsh how funny! It’s a small world! Happy to see you back here! 🫶🏼 and we are loving it here! The boys are doing so great in Arizona! 🌵 do you ever plan/hope to move back?
I am so happy for you and your weight loss. Prepping is key to weight loss. It keeps me focused on my goals. I like the feeling of trying and taking special steps for myself. When we have a family ,a home ,and all the things that demand our attention, it is easy to put ourselves last. I enjoy fresh fruit and veggies and I like a variety. Fruit and Greek yogurt for breakfast.A plate of veggie with a slice or two of turkey for lunch and I’m a happy camper. I love sheet pan dinners because they are easy. Fish or chicken with veggie grilled or baked is delicious. I try to limit processed foods. One day a week I try to fast with liquids only. This is the day I try to do a lot of self care. Facials, nails, nap, hair treatment, long walk etc. You are inspiring and I thank you Amanda for sharing.❤
Have you ever tried putting sweet banana peppers and a large tomato on the grill? You get them blackened on all sides (probably easier on a charcoal grill) and then you put them in a brown paper bag to steam for about 5 minutes or so. You then peel off the outside layer of the peppers and tomato (be careful the tomato will be VERY hot); mush the potatoes in a large enough bowl and then strip the peppers and mix them together with the tomato. This is very good over your steaks on the B.B.Q. as well. I am sure you will like it.
Hey hun I do I.F. When you hit plateaus if you switch up or shorten your eating window it'll help a lot!! Maybe only eat from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. or shortening from 12:00 to 6:00 p.m. to 2 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. ❤ you're doing amazing!!!
I live in Cleveland, OH and I LOVE to shop at Fresh Thyme which us a grocrry store that's styled after a farmers market and they always have great prices on produce and meat.
I used to love getting groceries with my dad as a teen because it meant I got to pick things out lol. He would also show me how to buy things on a budget. I still love grocery shopping ….so much I’m watching a video of it haha
The stir fry you made looks yummy. It's something I'd make for myself. What was the cut of steak you used? I'd only make one batch of the meat, peppers, broccoli and rice as I'd be the only one eating it. I love your meal prep. I like your produce prep as well. It's unusual to put strawberries & grapes into mason jars Do you find that the strawberries go bad that way or don't they last long in your home? Love all your video's glad I scrolled further down the list to find this one. I shop at Aldis as well it's in many ways a lot less expensive than regular grocery stores. But then everything is getting expensive.
I go to Sams monthly for my meats in bulk and toiletries. Then i typically go to aldi and the farmers market for fresh fruits and veggies. I prefer the Aldi store brand and they guarantee it. So if you dont enjoy it you can return it. Similar to trader joes policy. You always look beautiful. Ive lost 63lbs this year as well, and it feels fantastic. So much less pain and pressure on my joints.
I will go to Shoprite or ACME (NJ) for the weekly sales and then go to Wegmans about once every two months to stock up. The one near me is actually cheaper than Costco. For the rosemary, I am not sure if it is a good inside plant. We have some outside that are in direct sunlight and they are doing very well. We don't really use them for cooking; they are more for the dogs and keeping the bugs away. Good luck!!
I'm new here and enjoyed your haul . I still shop several stores.Aldi is my favorite 😊 We live here in Mississippi and I heard on the news that our prices are up there with California.
Thanks for sharing Amanda. Great video. My hubby and I have been Keto 3 years. YOu may already have this dish. You just make Taco meat and slice Red , Yellow, Orange bell peppers in half long ways- stuff with meat - top with cheese , bake on 350 for about 20 mins for cheese to melt. We call them "Taco Beels" , so fun on Taco Tuesday!
😮 I went back to watch your first video and Aldi shopping trip and haul! Wow! You have come a LONG way you and Kyle Amanda. I would have looked for an Aldi a long time ago if I saw this back then. I just found an Aldi's not too long ago enroute to my clients who live in the Chelsea, Everette, Saugus area of Massachusetts and I like it. Although the prices are notheing compared to 2017, but they are still betrer than what we are experiencing now! I am going to have to catch up on the past 7 years of your videos!!😅
A timesaver would be to peel all of your ginger and then puree it in your food processor and then drop by small spoonfuls onto a small baking tray, then freeze. Once frozen, transfer to a ziploc bag and then when you need some ginger, you can just pull out what you need and it’s already prepared. I do this same thing with garlic. I bought a huge bag of peeled garlic cloves from Sam’s Club last summer, and I have only used about half of it!
I do my main weekly grocery shop at Aldi and then anything I can't find there I'll get at Target. I usually have to go to Target anyway for toiletries and prescriptions every week so I just pick up what's left there.
I don’t have Aldi here in Northern Nevada, my weekly shopping is usually done at Sprouts market and 😅Winco Foods. Once a month it’s Sam’s Club or Costco😊❤
Like you, my Apple Air Pods and all ear buds just wouldn’t stay in my ears (my 12 grandkids have benefitted from me buying and discarding ear buds 😂), so I discovered the After Shock Bones headset and game changer! I just pull the headset down around my neck when not using and up to use, plus, I can still hear around me so if my husband or co-workers speak to me I can hear them and stop my listening and pay attention to them. Chicken Korma is amazing and we eat it regularly! Re: rice- if you use enriched rice or quick cooking rice (think Minute Rice or Uncle Ben’s type rice or Rice a Roni) you don’t have to rinse it, but if you use Jasmine, Long Grain, Mahatma Brand, etc, rinsing removes the outer coating that is toxic, so rinse until water is clear, and just remember that whole, unenriched or non-parboiled rice will be stickier than the other types.

lol! It's funny how times change, back in the day when I was growing Aldi's is where the poor families shopped. My family included!

Thanks for sharing.
Enjoy the video ❤ what a blessing on the weight. It’s very encouraging.😊
Good luck!!
Every evening after cooking, we separate the leftovers into personal portion sizes. We date them. Easy to heat for lunch the next day.
Oh this is so brilliant!! Can’t believe I never thought of this!!
Thanks Amanda for the idea's....now I'm hungry 😊
Haha that always happens when I was food based videos 😂 hope it gave you some new ideas!
Love you too 💙💙💙
I thought you looked thinner in the last few videos! 36 pounds, that’s awesome! I’m so happy for you! ❤
I'm new here and enjoyed your haul .
I still shop several stores.Aldi is my favorite 😊
We live here in Mississippi and I heard on the news that our prices are up there with California.
Welcome to the family, Tammy!!
Oh thank youuuu! I will try it this week!!
I’ve done these with rice added in, but haven’t thought about making them keto style lol
ALDIs Aisle of Shame gets me everytime. They do have great prices for sure. I always bring my bags and of course a quarter. Great store! Dorene Weiss
Brilliant!! I love it!
Does it taste just as flavorful this way?
Yes it does!
We don't have the options of stores like you do!! We mostly shop at Meijer or some at Walmart!!
I do my main weekly grocery shop at Aldi and then anything I can't find there I'll get at Target. I usually have to go to Target anyway for toiletries and prescriptions every week so I just pick up what's left there.
Hola amanda que lindo verte de compras con tu hijo 👏👏💪🛒 que lindo video 💪😀👉 desde argentina 🇦🇷💝💞🤗
I have hashimoto’s as well along with hypothyroidism. :) I’m wondering, what do you eat for breakfast & lunch? Love a video on this. Thank you ◡̈
I am also renewing my love for Aldi ❤
It’s so good!
The Keto cookbooks I love are by Kyndra Holley. The 2 I have are Craveable Keto and 30 minute ketogenic. Great recipes !!
I don’t have Aldi here in Northern Nevada, my weekly shopping is usually done at Sprouts market and 😅Winco Foods. Once a month it’s Sam’s Club or Costco😊❤
I’ve only been to the Aldi at 59th Ave & W. Bell Rd. I’m a Frys shopper. Between the two, Frys.
Your Aldi looks way better stocked than mine! I just realized there were no plum tomatoes there!
Ahh you live in Phoenix?! Me too!
We grow a lot of our food & we have a lot of farms around us, so we don't really shop grocery stores
Hi Amanda,I love Aldi ,gob Job ❤
My husband goes he likes to do the sale shopping and goes to 5 stores. HEB, Kroger, Albertsons, Aldi and Walmart.
We shop at Winco, Costco and sometimes Fred Meyers
I love Aldi ❤
Amanda you looks great keep it up👍
I always go to Aldi’s or Meijers sometimes Walmart but not too often
This came at the perfect time as I’m trying to lose weight! Your videos are so comforting… and I also live in AZ 🌵
Yay!! We’re in this together girl!!
Great video Amanda, great job in losing the weight. You look amazing. My parents had a grey sprinkler so funny.😊
What difference did u find from your previous keto or diets or what changes helped you drop the weight?
We go to Sam’s Club once a month, then our local Food Lion grocery store every week!
That’s awesome!! I’m sure that helps your budget stay pretty focused as well.
