So glad i found your channel! Wow! I live not far from Asheville in the Blue Ridge and I must say you did a fabulous job of capturing the beauty of autumn and the sunrise 🍂🍁⛰ be safe!!
Thanks, Mark, for a really entertaining mission/flight/video. The cinematic quality of your videos has really blossomed. The set-up, the mechanics of flight, the gorgeous NC woods, the meet-up and the return all so well done, and the music choices were satisfying and appropriate. A great short story, all told.
Wow Mark! Glad I ran across your videos. I've only watched two, this one and the Ghost Town in the Sky. I'm hooked. I actually live down the hill from you, very cool! I've got some catching up to do on your videos.
I have mad respect for you flying in that area with outs being in such short supply. Just drove out that way to visit family n that reconfirmed my feelings too. Great flying n bravery on your part!
Im gonna take your word for it for now. Lol...maybe one day I will be braver but I think I prefer to have outs at 300 to 500 ft. I know higher is safer but the earth is more beautiful lower here.
@@MarkHuneycutt I guess the drive thru the mountains is too deceiving then. Interesting...my sis wants me to move out there, if what you say is true I may consider it a little more seriously! It's beautiful out there, n the folks are definitely amazing n polite n more inline with my views of the world than IL. This place is goin down the sh*tter. You got me thinkn now!!!😜
Makes me jealous that you guys can fly somewhere for breakfast. Love the Colours too! we're coming into summer here in Oz, so that means brown scenery, very early wake ups for the one flyable hour, and nasty thermals thereafter.
Mad props! Looks like fun. I just soloed las weekend and it was amazing. Flying over misty mountains looks beautiful but i’ll stick to empty cornfields for now
Need to get in my first fly to go eat. Shame all the restaurants in my vicinity don't have very much space to land or take off. Except for a Chick-fil-A down near my folks, but definitely would be breaking part 103 since it's congested and next to a highway.
Wow! What an incredible flight! Those views with the fog are epic. Noob question here.. how do you know where to land (into the wind) when you decide to land at the restaurant? TY
I made an assumption based off the wind forecast at Waffle House and the way I took off initially, paired with my approach being a manageable touchdown running speed. Turns out, it was a very light tailwind. A better way to do it would be to do a fly by in both directions and land the direction you're going the slowest. The downside is disturbing people with noise. It's easier to land downwind with a powered, footdrag landing like in this video, but I don't recommend it.
Hey Mark! Would you happen to have a picture or anything showing how or where to hook up the APCO foot rest? I ordered it but have no idea how to hook it up. I guess the hooked end goes into the carabiners? Thanks in advance.
I have an unrelated question: when doing cross country flights- do people using paramotors typically turn off their motors, or do they let them idle? Could someone only use their motor to gain altitude, turn it off and glide until they need more altitude again? Thank you! :D
Be careful finding money on the ground, especially if it's folded. Some have been laced with fentanyl...there have been several deaths in my neck of the woods.
Flying to waffle house makes you a god amongst men, what i wouldnt do to fly to a waffle house, eat and fly back home. My eating places are limited where i can fly
Yea, a long time ago. Kind of annoying having to send personal emails as Mark AND Alayna Huneycutt and people responding as if we have one email together - why Google can't separate email and youtube username, I dunno. Also, Alayna, being pregnant, was rarely on the channel
Whereabouts do you live, looks like you are somewhere fairly close to us up on Hutch Mountain Rd near Howard Gap. Would love to invite you to fly down to the school and farm sometime, we have a perfect landing field across from the hospital that I could get you permission to use just about anytime.
Hey feel free to message me on Facebook messenger. If it's the field I think it is, it's inside Class C airspace. I've definitely considered it prior to looking at airspace
They feel similar in turbulence in flight, both stable, which I liked when I tried the Viper XC. Viper is probably more efficient but didn't compare them. Viper launches better although my falcon is now 4 years old.
Waffle House commented on my video on instagram. I've officially made it in life:

Man, you have complete trust in that motor! I could never fly like that unfortunately, 4 emergency landings in 60 flights.

That intro was beautiful. You captured early sunrise flight's perfectly! Makes me miss flying a Paramotor.

I'm taking more risks in this video than usual. This area has plenty of outs if flown at a decent altitude

@flyingtime5501 that's what I'm saying - this area has plenty of outs at a decent altitude, 300-500' AGL

@flyingtime5501 do it. There are plenty of paramotor pilots around me. They like the flying too.

Nothing like a quarry dive after Waffle House breakfast. That sunrise / fog…😮.
I know! The light coming through the trees and fog was super cool

There are so many times you can fly like that until something goes wrong, lets hope nothing ever happens

You should fly to Harrahs! In Cherokee
Great video with amazing views! I'd love to know more about your video equipment tho✌
Gopro 9 and Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra

ghetto breakfast!
Everyone in the Waffle House was watching through the windows and waving. That was cool.
when is peak leaf season up there ? Trees finished by Thanksgiving ?
Probably a week or two ago. Most leaves have browned or fallen now.
Did you change the name of the channel from 'Mark Huneycutt' to 'Mark and Elaina Huneycutt' back to just 'Mark Huneycutt'?

Hows the Gin handle XC compared to the Viper XC?

@@MarkHuneycutt thanks. I'm looking for my next wing.
@@Kent-pb2jl It was a great wing. Everyone I talked to has liked it.
Next flight Thanksgiving dinner?
