I clicked a link in an NPR article that I think was supposed to be a Key & Peele sketch... This doesn't seem to be that

I did the same thing. But I waited several minutes to switch tabs, and I had opened several other tabs. So, until I saw your comment I did not know how I was here.

Thanks, I was scratching my head trying to figure out how this fit with the article.

Yeah. This is weird. And I know which K&P bit was *supposed* to be linked. This is still weirder.

Considering how racist this whole movie is I feel silly for even pointing this out, but it bothered me that her "brother" looks way too old to actually be her brother.

There are many age gaps in family members. Unless it was stated as their age gap only being 1 or 2 years apart, I can understand your nitpicking but otherwise, the physical appearance is fine

I think a dialogue on Freedmen crime rates and gang culture in the reconstruction era is missing in scholarly works, probably due to political inconvenience...

I think any dialogue you can come up with is missing due to the inconvenience of your brain being too small

So if the dialogue is missing; it doesn't exist.
So wtf are you talking about?

Considering how so many of their descendants act today, it’s not too far fetched to say that segregation existed for a reason. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.

@@SD-ky8vf There is audiobook by John R Lynch on youtube that may be worth checking. Interms of alternative historical fact made by Republican African living through the civil war era. DW Griffith was good at movie making, but he probably only knew what he was told like most people back then rather than getting more sources on the issues.
