I’ve been looking through a lot of videos to see a top speed run of the 2015 ds 450 xmx.. Top speed says 130 kph for spec and I tested mine yesterday and it hit 112 (keep in mind I’m 270 lbs and only thing different is a k&n air filter) honestly the older bikes are faster for almost every model it seems.. I had an 02 400 ex and only mod was a full yosh exhaust and I was getting 135 kph.. I tested the speed a bunch of times with different speed apps and had a car follow beside me confirming he was going 130.. I was on the shoulder and she wasn’t fully pinned, that quad was fast !!
I have a 2009 ds 450 xc with the pink wire cut (2008-2009 only) reduced front sprok from 14-13 rear sprok 42-37) redline increase from 9000-11500 (verifide) stock tires i hit 128 in 4th and not sure of top speed in fifth (oh hmf race pipe and open air box) will never get rid of it
Nope just a normal clutch, but if you shift at the right time you dont really need to use the clutch when upshifting just like any quad or dirtbike. Some people say its bad for the quad but i do it all the time and never had problems.
@@CalebSayer this is bad for the quad, my old quad was ran for 3 years no problems at all with it and I let my friend ride it and he tore the clutch right out of it riding like this, he said well I do this on my dirt bike so it should be fine on the quad, nope.. about a year later I stupidly let another friend ride the quad and told him to use the clutch when shifting and of course he rode it like his dirt bike and 1 shift I hear this awful grinding sound, long story short I needed to buy a new clutch kit again and an axle..
Some of the older ds's do go that fast stock. The newer xmx versions of the ds like mine, have a top speed of 110-115kph. The xmx's are geared low and made purely for the track so they have a lower top speed.

This quad have a semi auto type clutch? Like shift up down without pressing clutch lever ?

I had that quad from 2008 to 2019 and never had a clutch burn out while I was running it.
You can do it with any clutch
