Well, the final chapters in the manga provide a lot of insight and I found Isabella’s calling for Ray in her final moments to be so significant in her character, no one would choose that life, she just was born into it. But I do agree that they probably should have checked to see if he was doing ok multiple times in the series. I think that therapy would definitely help Ray though, his whole childhood was spent shouldering the burden of knowing, and even speaking to someone who was not a therapist would have helped him immensely. His attempt was also not entirely because he was depressed (that played a part in it, yes) but it had layers, like wanting to go out on his own terms and it benefiting the escape. Sorry for going on a rant there, I write fanfics so *BOOM* words.

It’s clear that Bakugo is sorry and had massive character development, but (I believe) when this comment was written his character development wasn’t as obvious (in the anime at least). Also even if it was, the Bakugo timeline is earlier in the series when he didn’t have character development and wasn’t sorry.

It takes a serious effect on the killer’s mental state, and is often a violent and gruesome act. You have to be extremely desperate or severely mentally ill to resort to murder. (And I’m talking about purposeful murder not accidental murder) Don’t get me wrong, Su*cide baiting is a terrible act, and you certainly can’t take back the words, but it’s both less permanent and damning than murder. Even if said person does end up committing, the su*cide baiter has their whole life time to repent or redeem themselves after that act. They don’t deserve forgiveness, but they are making up for it (if they feel remorse that is).
