Thank you very much, I just received one of these as a gift. I might need your help because my friend just got a lot of these old items, and we don't know the value of them, I will check out your store for parts, for this one. Thank you again, Donnie
What I would do is look up the models on eBay and see how much they go for. If you want more out of them I would make sure they are fully tested. Get batteries for them you can find batteries and chargers on Amazon along with tapes. And makes sure they will accept a tape without showing an error code. Make sure it can record, preform playback, rewind, and fast forward.
I just noticed I bought this camcorder off of you on ebay lol, thought that your username on there seemed familiar, makes me all the more glad knowing where it came from. Thanks for all your cool videos, been getting back into collecting video cameras and this channel has shown me some very unique pieces.
I have sold 2 of these the first one I sold had no accessories with it and had a power switch problem. And the second one I sold was in like mint condition. Which one did you buy?😅
@brandonalldredge The one I got came with the XLR mic attachment (not the mic itself but the attachment to connect a XLR mic) the OG low grip handle and a high capacity after market battery plus a battery charger, oh and the lens hood as well. Gotta say this camcorder definitely feels like it's in mint condition.
Yeah that camera is super nice. It weirdly say on my eBay store for months too. It must not be a very popular camera but I like the footage that comes from it
@brandonalldredge I was eyeing it for a couple of days before I bought it, found it weird how no one grabbed it but not too unusual seeing as sony has become the brand most people collect camcorders of, yeah camcorders with 3ccd capabilities produce some nice looking footage.
Well there are certain Panasonics people gravitate towards. Same with canons. But I still think it’s a good camera. It even has pretty low hours on it. It think it was just over 1000 where I’ve seen some Panasonic cameras all the way up to 40,000-55,000 hours on them
I have this camera but I can’t find a way to import my video to my MacBook. (My computer don’t detect the cam) is there a import mode or some kind ? I got a firewire cable and my other camcorder Sony is working.
I haven’t heard of the dvc80 till now. It honestly looks almost identical to the dvx100. But $50 is a good price in my opinion doing a quick eBay search working ones go for quite a lot it looks like
The viewfinder is color..go into menu and go to the elf you can turn the color on or off in off helps u focus better.
Man I love how in depth your videos always are
Thank you I always try to give as much info as possible 😊

i still got this camera. had it since 2005. thinkin of getting one of the s-card things so i can use it again
Yeah it’s a great camera honestly
Thanks for the review, was hoping you were going to show off the night vision!
Yes I usually plan to I generally forget to though😒
Love the vids 👏🏾👏🏾
So good!

So your MacBook will recognize your Sony but not your Panasonic? Your FireWire port might be messed up on the Panasonic.
Hey Brandon I found a similar to that one wich is the DVc 80 and it's missing the front hood would that affect the camera?
No you can still use it. The hood it just to help protect the lens from getting scratched and it helps with not getting sun rays in your footage
@@brandoncameracollection thank you I'm looking at one and it doesn't come with anything tho would it be worth the risk getting?
Depends on how much it is. If it is at a good price I would say yes
@@brandoncameracollection it's around $50 I'm not sure if it's a good price for it because I haven't seen many being sold

Would it be possible to use the dvc30 as a camera and use my iPad Pro as the screen and recording device? Thank you
I k ow there is a way you can hook your phone up to get it to work but I’m not sure how to do it there is probably videos out there for it
what filming handle do you reccomend?
I would get something like this: amzn.to/3IuCuIh
What is a "Leeka" lens? I'm familiar with Leica optics, but I've never heard of "Leeka."
Is it not the same thing? Or did pronounce it wrong haha I’m pretty sure Leica makes the lens on it
