- Former Eskom CEO Brian Molefe returned to the state capture commission on 4 March 2021 to conclude his testimony before Deputy Chief Justice Raymond Zondo. Molefe answered questions about his time at Eskom including his R30 million rand pension payout
The guy is beyond good I think there's a political agenda against the guy. No CEO has performed better than the guy.

With qualifications from London School of Economics, Harvard Business School and Wharton Business School a real pity that all that knowledge has not contributed to the advancement of South Africa. A real pity he did not take a course in ethics at all those fancy institutions.
A lot of ANC cadres went to these fine institutions to train how to become business leaders. One of the features of successful business leaders is their ability to avoid and deflect blame and responsibility - the ultimate characteristic of non-stick Teflon. This man who made some 50 telephone calls to the Guptas is showing a real good coating of Teflon. I don’t think Zondo and his evidence team have got through the layer.
Problem is people being fast tracked to the top, without learning one good lesson, ETHICAL LEADERSHIP, without that all the fancy qualifications will just be used as a conduit for corruption and self enrichment.

The salary issue makes sense now. My question is why couldn't the media inform us of all these details instead of saying payment was corrupt? On pre payments I don't trust his story. And his distancing himself from Gupta associates is misleading.

Not necessarily but it could definitely strengthen the holder of the position, as well as the board of directors. Remember that the CEO position is more of a strategical level position so there are wide variety of factors to consider when appointing one. But yes a qualified CEO in the field of business would assist....
