It's easy to understand why people who aren't specialists in music would think she's "out of tune", which she is not. It's always uncool when your vocal chords are tired and you get this raspy, and it's very disappointing to the singer not being able to deliver what she intended. Raspy or not, Nina is divine!
Fleetly agree I’m a singer, and sometimes my high notes are completely gone. Let alone hit one and then be able to go down register and still keep singing. She’s amazing.
De Melkweg, Amsterdam, 1980s, concert was sold out. Me and my then girlfriend had no tickets, still went waiting outside the entrance Just in case we could get in.... with numerous others. So no real chance to get and see the band. Just some dealer trying to get customers by saying if I wanted "cocaine running around my brain", told him to f**k off, that I only wanted Nina...
I think the amazing thing is ... how does she keep GOING when the high notes give out!? She can pull off ANYTHING with style. That's why we love her. She's just pure entertainment.

you can notice from the beggining her voice is not in the condition it should be for that song, everyone has bad days with their voice, this was nina's... (of course then the smoking and 80's decade drugs came in and she lost that voice ._.) still, I love her! amazing!
