I looove how in depth you talk about your assignments and what you’re studying! I’m always so fascinated with what other people are currently learning about but I never really see anyone else talk about. Your channel is such a safe space for me- it’s like a comfort book, I go back to it every time I want to feel cosy and peaceful:) Hope you are doing well 💗
I'm so amazed every time you show your surroundings. You somehow live both in a city and in nature with really cool buildings in view and the greenest of nature around. And your university is like literally a fairytale castle. What is this magic 🪄
The past couple of days have been hectic for me and this is the perfect time that you posted one of your vlogs, I was eagerly waiting for one... Thank you Emma!
I am struggling with a few deadlines this month as well and I haven't even started anything for one of the big assignments. But listening you talk about this in depth kind of make me realize I have such a long way to go .... and motivate me. Thank you Emma 💕 Love u as always.
"O O O O O, you are men of stones!" Always loved that line, maybe my favorite in Shakespeare. A person overcome with grief lashing out at everyone nearby, recognizing in them the natural cruelty that society is supposed to cure.
Your university is straight out of a fairytale! Both the building and the meadows surrounding it! What university is it? I’m currently in my first year studying English lit and I am just as excited about the assignments (a lot of creative writing and analyzing poetry/fiction)! Really enjoyed this vlog💕
Love the butterfly meadow Emma! I haven’t been outside in almost 20 months and I can almost smell the grass through the screen! Also I love that you’re studying literature! I graduated uni this past May and I didn’t realize my major wasn’t my fav until it was too late to switch
yay! emma has a new video lol exams and the hustle and bustle of university can be a lot sometimes. make sure to take care of yourself too especially with the cooler weather that is coming. loved your video as always xoxo 🥰🖤🍁
I always pushed ur uni vlogs to the side bc i normally watch ur videos as a way to find comfort and ignore school, but now i realize how stupid that was!! I aspire to study literature and seeing u do so already makes me so happy :((
I think us university attendees have all been that person running around an unfamiliar building looking for the room where our test supposedly is. Heck, one time I couldn't even find the building. A lot of the buildings had names like Dakota Hall, East Hall, Noteboom Hall. But I could not find Faber Hall. It turned out that Faber Hall was small auditorium inside of a building called Old Main that, as a first year student, I hadn't yet had the pleasure of exploring. So, yes, your story is not only relatable, it basically gave me a flashback. Cheers, chin up, and good luck! You've got this.
💚💚 You have no idea how exciting it is to get your notification. And I've never seen someone so dedicated to posting regularly. How you stay so consistent is beyond me, Master. 🙇♀️
not to make you jealous but as someone who's also fascinated by animals i must tell you that i was lucky enough to attend a two days long series of conferences at my uni all about animal studies in the humanities! it was fascinating and i am sooo excited for more next year! also happy to hear you're doing good at uni!
I'm 12 days late and having a stressful week with exams. Like always i'm thankful to you and your videos. They make me calm and happy. And there's this feeling i don't know how to explain. I badly want to get lost in this beautiful nature. To sit under a tree and read a book. Stay safe and best of luck with your studies dear Emma! ❤
Just let me put it this way,if I had been on that bus I would have hijacked it for you. That was a lovely song at the start, outside your college!I'm living every moment of your literary/poetic journey❤️
Jeezus Christ the door moved on its own! D: 21:27 Interesting Vlog Emmie, I don't know why hearing about other people experiences can be so engaging, but it is. Good luck on your exams! PD: I always pinpointed the exact location where my tests where going to be held, because I had a similar experience to yours, and it's very unpleasant all around. After that I vowed to never get lost befor a test again lol The stress was enough already! Cheers
Read *Grace To A Witty Sinner - A Life of John Donne* by Edward Le Comte (1965) + *John Donne Selected Letters* (ed. PM Oliver). Carcanet. *King Lear Before During After* (2013) by Ben Crystal : 129 pages. On each act, speeches + character summaries, action + key words. Bloomsbury. I first read Donne long ago in Penguin's anthology of the Metaphysical Poets. Henry Vaughan's wonderful *I saw eternity the other night*. Andrew Marvell's *But at my back I always hear/ Time's winged chariot hurrying near.* One of Scott Fitzgerald's favourite lines alongside Keats. Dame Veronica (C.V.) Wedgwood wrote a personal essay on the cavalier poets in *History and Hope* (1987) and ended with Vaughan's Eternity.
Re: Donne, have you seen the film Wit? It's based on a play. Emma Thompson plays an english professor who has devoted her time to researching and deciphering Donne's poetry, then goes through ovarian cancer treatment. Sonnet X (opening lines "Death be not proud") features heavily in it. Here's a scene from it: ua-cam.com/video/dXowrolrFz0/v-deo.html
Guys? Can somebody tell me why you can't See the amounts of likes on this Video? Is it because of Personal reasons? Because i See nothing wrong with this vlog, it's so beautiful and motivating. (Thank you in advance💯)
Ripe apples, ripening pears, blue skies, beautiful college buildings. It may not be Thomas More's idea of utopia, but it is mine. Greetings from wintry rain-beaten Glasgow. Only good thing we have going on is the International Climate Conference and Greta Thunberg.
oh wow, what you said in your solving mysterious video was true!! that we really can see you so soon!! I am so looing forward to every single one of your new videos!! Love you :)
You and I have very different philosophies of how close to the deadline to write an assignment (there are several I should be working on right now, but I'd much rather watch this video).
hello emma! may i know what's the last song used in this video (around 20:50) please? really love your song choices that accompany the videos. as if being introduced to books isn't great enough i feel like i'm being introduced to world of classical music through your videos too :P would love it if you could let us know their names too next time
Heey I LOOOVEE your typewriter omgg where did you get it?😁 Also super jealous you're studying literature, I want to take a class but my schedule is already too busy unfortunately... Oh and thank you for your videos, you got me into reading more classics!

The idea of studying and noticing a cluster of words during the whole course sounds so interesting i love it!

you make it look like you are the only one that's living in that town 😄
My bus pass has unexpectedly failed me before, too bad the bus driver couldn’t just allow you on regardless🥺 but lovely vlog, as always💛
hey, Emma! Love your videos. Which University are you in?
yea, was wondering that too
Yeah and how come there isn't any rush of students around 🌱
the description is uni summarized in a sentence.

Love your vlogs!
You and I have very different philosophies of how close to the deadline to write an assignment (there are several I should be working on right now, but I'd much rather watch this video).
I've had a semster-long seminar on King Lear. It was very boring sadly and watching Godard's King Lear movie scarred me for life lol
lol
Omg is that a framed map from The Longing??
How are you like. So goal-oriented. I struggle, even if it's a subject I love
I find that it being something I love makes it even harder to do my work for it because I just want to take my time and savour it
I am also doing an essay on King Lear and creature, nature, and nothing are my words💚
i love your vlogs :)
Hey Emma!!!
can you make a video on career choices if you have an English degree
Please 🥺🥺❤️❤️🥺🥺
My real life Belle 🥺❤️
Why am I getting a notification for its upload just now when it’s already uploaded once 2 days ago?
