About 20th question u said we can't utilize other data sources if we connected direct query with databases....I have tried it...we can connect with other data sources when we connected with databases in DQ
In direct query mode, we can pull data from different source, which is also known as composite model, have tried it in practical also, please correct if i am wrong @learn with gigs.

26rev = calculate(sum(revenue),datesinperiod(dimdate[date],max(dimdate[date]),-1,Month)
It will give you only last month as Jan not Selected Month Feb ..For this you have to hold both values in variable and merge
