Kamal 2 doesn't work with Rails 7 out of the box. You have to add thruster, modify the Dockerfile, docker-entrypoint, add some bin stubs, etc. I had to tinker with it for awhile to get it working with Rails 7.
n my opinion, Traefik is clearly superior to Kaml-Proxy, mainly due to its wider range of middleware options (e.g., asset compression), though it does require more setup. That said, I would still recommend Kaml 2+ as it offers some upcoming features that could be beneficial in the future. Thanks for the video!
Well this is awesome, thanks!
Great video!
Great !!
Excellent video, thanks for that!!
It works perfectly for rails 8 beta.
But most if our apps are in rails 7 and it is failing to work. Hope you do for rails 7 too.
I’m using it on Rails 7 apps as well. But I also added thruster for those apps.

How would you going about upgrading your server with kamal, does kamal setup only run on servers that haven't been setup on yet?
Keep it up
