Very good video, I have learned a lot by watching how they work on bending metal pipes and I have even bought bending machines from Klein tools. I am very inspired and motivated by the videos that American electricians share to be much more professional. Thank you very much for sharing your teachings. hugs and greetings from my city Arica (Chile) (sorry for my bad English, I'm using Google Translate)
Welcome! Some of the main differences were quality of emt conduit running and how each contestant wired the EV charger. I think all the contestants finished, so that wasn't an issue.
I guess that Flex bandsaw doesn’t have a reamer attachment like the Milwaukee M12 does? ...and speaking of "flex" I wonder why they didn't use a flex whip to get to the charger from the wall? Maybe just the rules of the contest...?
@4:51 surprised she didn't put a small kick on that 90 going into the box. @12:43 I try to always take off the threaded and compression ring and slide them on the conduit first before pushing conduit to connector, seems easier to me. @14:08 dunno about you but I'd use seal type flex in that situation going from wall to charger. learned about stress joints a long time ago. @18:70 see the charger move... seal type flex.
No torque driver. Just wrench it as tight as they can apparently. Squishing stranded and stripping lugs is an eyebrow raised in a competition of national championship levels

¡Gracias, cheers from San Diego!
Another great video.
Thanks so much!
All of their bosses are looking on and saying you better perform like that at work, I'll expect nothing less 😂
Or will fire you mofuka

Thank you for sharing!
My pleasure, thanks!
Thanks. Enjoyable to watch. I'd like to understand what each did wrong though.

I'm not sure if the Flex bandsaw has a reamer attachment. Yes, it was the rules of the contest.
Enjoy your play by play.
Thanks Jeff!
This is hilarious but informative

Excellent observations, thanks!
The girl did really well
Yes, she did!
I’ll be there next year 🤞
Go for it!
So many un necessary pipe bends….
How do you get in these comps? I would wipe the floor with these apprentices especially the girl 😂
Nice production as usual Bill ... Thx & congrats to all the contestants ...
Thanks Eddy!

Hello sir ji my name is Nitin iam Electrician
Hi Nitin!
Press X to doubt.

He should have pulled a neutral with those number 6 for future
I agree but that is seen as waste as far as expenses go.
Good point, but it wasn't provided.
You do not need to, they can easily add the neutral later on cause had enough room in the EMT, so it is not necessary nor require
True.@@alvilla701
Electrical work isnt a race people!!! SMH
in a real life no one uses a hard hat sorry
It's true that some don't, but many electricians do wear hard hats.
When you’re working new construction hard hats are always on .
Yep!@@jyc2775
My company requires hard hats at every jobsite. Even when there’s no overhead danger. (Just incase the sky falls)😂
