Interesting to see someone approach this shoe for its looks. Many of the cons you listed are seen as pros by people who promote barefoot style shoes. The point is to strengthen your feet. Some barefoot shoe brands also recommend easing into barefoot shoes. As someone who cares about fashion as well as my foot health, I've found it difficult to find common ground between the two. The search continues. I'd be interested in a long term review to see if and how your feet change and if you notice any trends in how you're perceived/treated while wearing them.

I love mine. I’ve worn them off and on for over 10 years. They have worked wonders for me having bunions. They reduced my inflammation and didn’t have to get surgery. I wear them daily and they look good with my outfits.

Vibram 5 fingers are the only shoes I wear. Hiking, walking, indoors and out. In business meetings with clients, and climbing the local mountains. I'll even wear them in the snow (and my feet keep toasty warm).

i’d love to have them to try but i don’t know if i can get down with the barefoot-like experience. especially in nyc where there can be all kinds of gross textures on the floor 😭

I feel they're a really niche market shoe, I've had 3 pairs over the last 8 years or so because these are the absolute perfect boating shoe because i work on boats and prefer being barefoot. For someone who lives my lifestyle, these shoes are a godsend, but for the regular consumer they're useless/ridiculous. I never looked at them from a fashion standpoint, and it's cool to see this guy explain that perspective.

Love my vffs trail ,wear them to backpack and pretty much everything else , been wearing them since they came out , I don't wear them for fashion though of course I don't stand in front of the mirror either. They aren't made for vanity and style those people generally don't do anything to need them. Personally I think it's pretty stupid to add 2 or 3 inches of padding on your feet , to be honest. Your feet ain't supposed to be wrapped in foam . I wear toe socks in mine sometimes and sometimes without them , It's Personal preference . I have to say that claim and the lawsuit brought against vibram pronounced veebrum by the way ,is pretty beneficial to your feet if you actually wear them and use them correctly, which from the people who review them never seem to do , they just buy a pair and are looking for instantaneous results 😂. Easiest way to get into them is slide your feet in toes down and walk your toes into the sockets kinda scrunch them into the pockets. Driving is just fine and there's not supposed to be foamy clouds , as for orthopedics those are for treating the problem, there for taking money out of your pocket without addressing the issue lol. Jogging in vffs is easy it's called opening your eyes , and this energy you're talking about in Normal shoes ,your not supposed to run with heel striking, your body isn't designed that way lmao, I suggest putting in the time before reviewing something that takes months to transition into .

Yo like no disrespect but you can’t run with barefoot shoes as if you were using normal running shoes, you need to ease into them and then use proper technique, always on your tips, if you use your heels while running on those you’ll destroy your body hahahaha. They are really effective, but not for everyone.
