    Hi mate, i've done all mods to cable as you advised, but found that cars obd port was slightly damaged - loose pins. Once I've plugged the splitter in, couple just slide off. now I have no clue which were where underneath. Any chance you could look under the port and send me a pic of it? mine is the same RS 220 model as yours. Couldn't find correct diagram online :( I am happy to pay..

    Hello friend, can you help me with this? I'm stressed about this situation! I'm from Portugal, I have a Clio IV 2017 diesel, tomtom version. I bought an OBD2 ELM327 on the TEMU website and a bbfly-A15 OBD II OBD2 Splitter Extension 16 Pin Extension Cable Adapter (30CM/1FT) on Amazon Spain. I use DDT4ALL and the MDF 4.6 version never appears. The MDF 5.2 version always appears and when I try to activate Android Auto, even when I ask it to write to the ECU it appears NO DATA. From what I understand, it seems that I have to buy a new OBD2, but it has this PIC18f25k80. I had more confidence looking on Amazon, but I can only find it in Belgium, Germany and England, but they don't ship to Portugal. Can you guide me with this please?

    Hi! I have two quick questions:
    In many tutorials mention you have to click on "Hard Reset" after you click on "Write ECU Config"... Is it necessary?
    What about the database? is it not necessary to download it?
    Thanks in advance bro

    • @JordanYalcin
      @JordanYalcin  2 роки тому +1

      Not necessary to download a database no. Everything you need is already loaded on the R-Link we are just activating a feature. A hard reset is the equivalent to pressing the home button 5 times, not necessary but it reduces the chance of bugging out the system :)

    Activated Android auto succesfully today on my 2013 renault clio rs 200.
    The adapter - iLC OBD2 OBD Wireless Car Code Reader Scan Tool did not work so i had to return it, it just woudn't connec to ddt4all
    I ordered DollaTek V1.5 bluetooth WIFI Scanner Auto OBDII Diagnostic Tool Code Reader PIC18F25K80 Chip, it connected first try and few minutes later I had activated android auto succesfully and everything works. Modifying bbfly-B6 OBD II OBD2 cable was also pretty easy. Thanks for the tutorial

    • @JordanYalcin
      @JordanYalcin  2 роки тому

      Hi, the splitter cable is used to connect to the R-Link system as we don’t need to configure the ecu. After changing settings on R-Link it does not get written on the ecu

      @@JordanYalcin Thank you for your video! I'm trying to achieve the same in my Renault Trafic. However, I read in Amazon comments for other ODB2 that they could connect DDT4ALL without any splitter cable. Is this 100% necessary?

    I bought the same WiFi OBD adaptor that you are using (sticker says model V03H2) to enable AA on a Clio IV but cannot get a connection to ddt4all. Do you have any tips? Thanks

    • @JordanYalcin
      @JordanYalcin  2 роки тому

      Yes, firstly plug-in the OBD adaptor into the car and on your laptop search for a wifi connection. Once connected the lights on the OBD should change

    • @SilentBob74
      @SilentBob74 2 роки тому

      @@JordanYalcin Thanks. However, I am able to connect to the adaptor via WiFi from both a Windows laptop and from my Android phone. I also then seem to be able to get a working connection on my phone to the Torque app. But when trying to start connected mode in ddt4all it tells me that there is no ELM device detected. I tried both with and without the modified OBD extension and get the same result either way. So far as I can tell, the default IP and port seem to be correct for the device. Does the model number above match your adaptor?

    • @SilentBob74
      @SilentBob74 2 роки тому

      @@JordanYalcin So I have tried again today so that I can pay attention to the status of the lights. When I plug the adaptor into the OBD port it cycles through all the coloured lights, but leaves just the red light lit. When I connect to the WiFi_OBDII network no other lights come on and just the red remains. This is the same whether plugged in directly or via the modified extension cable and whether it is my laptop or phone connected. The only time I see other lights come on its when connected to my phone and connecting the Torque app. I.e. only when there is some connection activity. Interestingly, today I wasn't getting the "no elm... detected..." message, which makes me wonder if the WiFi connection has dropped last time. The WiFi connection was definitely still there today and it was just hanging with the "trying to open port..." command line message. So it seems that the ddt4all Python script is not managing to talk to the adaptor at all. This is really frustrating. I am considering spending lots of £ on an OBDLINK-SX cable, but would be really pissed if that doesn't work because it is somehow a software or configuration issue. ☹️
      Edit: I am using a laptop that I borrowed from work, and am now just wondering if it might be blocked by firewall settings. ddt4all isn't actually an executable so I cannot add it as an allowed app. So what would i need to do to allow the required connections through?
