The way that those parents deal with it might be wrong, but the idea and value you can’t never say that they are wrong. In Canada and most western countries marriage is just between the two persons but in China marriage is more than that - its two families bonding. There’s no right or wrong in this issue but just the elder generation have different stand point. Just culture difference.

I’m blasian And i really had a difficult time growing up and i do still My asian family are accepting but some of them broke contact bec i was born My caribbean family always look down at me... Like when i am with them they make dumb jokes that i am not black enough to join the conversation bla bla bla I honestly feel like shit when i am around some of my fam But like other people (friends etc) they find it so cool that i am blasian Its weird😂 My mom is caribbean btw and my dad is chinese/indonesian

You guys have a large Asian bass and I think you could do a lot of good to raise awareness. As a fellow Chinese Canadian, I grew up watching my relatives take exotic animal parts for medicine and eat unsustainable Seafood. It would be really great if you use your platform to talk about this stuff! It's so ingrained in our Asian culture.
