    Why do they ruin the fretboard.Ritchie blackmore and a few others do it.Takes away from the versatility of that beautiful 70's strat.Had a USA 72 strat...they are great...

      I like the vintera 70's better coz of the body wood, right off the bat you get an alder body while the MIJ comes with basswood, neck shape is comfortable and not thin but also not thick. Only issue I have is the gloss finish of the vintera, too thick plus got a vintage tint on it which is a bit hard for me to replicate if I scallop the fretboard.

      @@rockcastlemusic Ah ok cool. Been looking at these new vinteras for a while and heard good things abt them, plus I love the look of the big 70's headstock with the bullet truss rod. Cheers!
