On December 4, the holidays came early today for 50 of our consumers who attended AT&T’s laptop distribution event at Disability Network Eastern Michigan’s Troy location.
We are thankful for AT&T’s generosity and for uplifting our consumers with these laptops which will help them stay connected, independent, and productive at school or work.
Throughout December, Disability Network held inclusive art classes. A series of pictures show holiday and winter themed artistic creations. These photos were taken at our Lapeer and Troy Office locations.
On December 12, DNEM held a therapeutic drumming class at our Troy office location. A series of photos and a video show DNEM consumers playing percussion instruments.
On December 13, karaoke night was held at our Troy location. DNEM staff and consumers dressed up in spirit of the holidays. A variety of karaoke songs were sung, snacks were served, photos were taken, and the Grinch appeared. The Grinch was nice and joined consumers in holiday photos without stealing the holiday spirit.
Who said DNEM staff don’t get into the holiday spirit? During the week of December 18, DNEM held holiday festivities. A series of photos are shown of DNEM staff in ugly sweaters, holiday accessories, festive pajamas, and having breakfast before the workday began. DNEM staff expressed their holiday creativity by decorating their Doors.
