Thanks NC; very useful to know the surfaces and that it's not ALL off road. We've cycled a number of similar trails in the USA and some in Derbyshire too. Going to try this soon

Derbyshire has five excellent and scenic railway trails. Not to mention Somerset, Devon, and Cornwall, to name just a few UK places. Enjoy !! Look up NCN map, the gentle bends usually highlight such use of old rail routes ..

I know the Guildford pubs, but where's the good ones in Shoreham! And fish and chips....
