Steel hull is 16mm (5/8") thick - ice-breaker rated. The comprehensive description of the ship, its history, and its specs are all on the website. This level of information detail is the new gold standard for anyone trying to sell a yacht. Does it really have a water cannon? Can I shoot it? Please, please, pretty please lemme shoot the water cannon! Thank you Shipsforsale Sweden.
Thank you for your kind words. It warms our hearts. We are spending a lot of time and money on each of our vessels and in perticular to show them the vessel and technical details as they are and not photoshoped. If the answer is not on our website it probably do not exist. Again thank you and hope to hear from you soon again.
Lets just be a bit more honest here...most ice breakers hulls are at 48mm thick at the keading edges and even 25mm thick everywhere else. In addition, most of them are also double hulled. Saying this is ice-breaker rated at 16mm thhick is a bit misleading.
New gold standard? Since when is withholding information the new gold standard? People want to know what all interior spaces look like. Zero cabin, galley or passageway views. That leads to the safe assumption that those spaces are terrible.
Well I enjoyed your video guy's, excellent idea and conversion. I also followed up and looked on the web site, great virtual tour of all areas of the vessel. My compliments on a first class conversion and a lovely vessel, definitely one you can take pride in.
Hi. Hopefully we can do more of that in the future. Until now all interior and hard facts are presented on our website like documents, certificates, drawings and all details, pictures and a 360 virtual tour of all areas. You can see it here: www.shipsforsale.com/assets/extboatimages/360root/957/957.html UA-cam has more been like an exterior complement to the actual facts. A 1994 72 ft. tug converted to yacht and renovated in 2017 at a cost of $600,000 and for sale in 2018? Then, the listing price is not shown in the sellers web page? Built in Sweden and registered in the Marshall Islands should not be a concern if you are cruising in Europe but spare parts and technical support in other parts of the World could be a problem. Apart from these concerns, it is a beautiful vessel and looks very seaworthy. A more recent Nordhavn trawler (around 1999), of about the same size goes for about $1.2 million so the $600,000 renovation to a 1994 vessel results in what we call in Real Estate a "drag me down" price.
Someone buy it, and plan a expedition to Antarctica, (including me of course) and we'll have a little look/see for ourselves. See what's REALLY going on!!!😎
Hi Jay, on our website www.shipsforsale.com we have a 360 VR tour of all vessels we sell as well as pictures of everything. Our movies on UA-cam are mainly drone footage, to film the inside of a boat is not as good as a 360 VR tour in our opinion. Have a good day!
So what is its new purpose? Work boat, occasional rescue vessel, fuel barge, or straight up ocean traveller? Without a look inside, kinda hard to tell. The grey exterior eludes to a work vessel, however the white deck suggests a certain level of sophistication lurks beneath. I'd at least want a spa on deck so I could get drunk & show off in style!!
That boat does something to you? It says to me do you want to live on board travel the world well I am ready if you are? I really really like this boat I have to watch more
Hi. We have interior pictures of all unsold vessels on our website. www.shipsforsale,com. We have a 360° virtual tour set up so you can walk around in the vessels. look at both god and bad parts. Peple are just looking at films for less than a minute according the information we get from the youtube statistics. They find "walk around films boring". So we chose this set up. The byers af the ships is not so keen that we continue to publish interior details of their "properties" so we remove the interior pictures after the sales. Brgds Arne Timmerling
Hi Paul. You will find interior pictures on our web site. There are a 360° virtual reality tour where you can look at everything inside. Also interior pictures. We noticed that clients prefer to look at the interior on normal pictures, not film sequences. The films are mostly requested for things in motion. Brgds Arne Timmerling
I'm sure she's not, but she looks a bit top-heavy. I watched the whole thing waiting for the out of water shots and...nothing. So why did you make the lead-in shot an out-of-water shot? Fail.

Vancouver Island Waterjet READ READ and one more time READ what i wrote, then maybe you will understand, i don’t need to improve you, i know, we work as a ferry, and looks like that you know better, how many liter per hour, my boat needs :)
Thank you for your kind comment. Constructive and improving criticism is always welcome and we will of course carefully consider your views. Knowledgeable industry people are a great help to us despite 40 years in the industry and almost 3,000 ships sold worldwide. Thanks again for your well-meaning words.
Larger yachts and ships consume fuel at a per hour or per day basis and give consumption in gallons or liters per hour, or tons per day for very large vessels. This instead of miles per gallon or liter. 48 liters per hour is around 12.6 US gallons burned for every hour cruised at 8.4 knots. It holds around a maximum of 7600 gallons of fuel in all tanks (if I converted the cubic meters correctly). Yeah, it wouldn't be cheap to "fill 'er up."
My kinda boat: A steel hulled go-anywhere vessel with boundless character, unlike those fiberglass apartments on water you see everywhere.
Good point.
we should all just buy what you like as you seem to know everything.
wildkatsailing: No need to be a dick.
The difference is probably because it's a TUGBOAT built for working in Arctic waters.
Just imagine cruising the north seas! Northwest passage on this would be amazing.
Would have liked to have seen more of the interior cabins, storage, galley, and to know if the heads have separate shower stalls.
my uncle and his sons are tugboat captains here in Vancouver Canada . shared on Facebook, cant wait to hear what they'd say about this.
do love the icebreaker bow personally
