- This begins a series of lessons walking through Deuteronomy 6:4-9 (and it’s parallel in Mark 12:28-34). I focus on the first word in Deuteronomy 6:4 and encourage us to genuinely listen to Yahweh as we read and study His word. This is where it all begins.

Its cool that you're doing a study on the Shema from deu 6:4-5 🙂👍
Side note:
the word law does not effectively communicate the hebrew meaning of the word Torah.
In the English language, a word's meaning changes over time.
But in Ancient Hebrew the meaning stays the same.
The modern english word "Law" is used to tear people down if they don't follow it.
But the ancient hebrew word "Torah" is used to both lower people and lift people up.
(by giving them the result/fruit of their actions)
So the word law does not effectively communicate the hebrew meaning of the word Torah.
The word Torah means, directing/teaching/instruction.
(from what i can remember, it's been years)
One follows a list of instructions, if one wants the result of doing thoses instructions.
YHWH Torah, instructs one on how to live life properly/successfully.
(ie. build one's house on a rock foundation, not on a loose foundation)
Shalom all y’all. Blessings in יהרשע matchless Name. Ahmein and Ahmein. My first time hearing you, and it was a good message (:
Matthew: I've looked into the number of commandments. I just don't see 613. I've never counted them, but the 613 has many repetitions and one commandment divided into many parts. Some of my local brothers and sisters are locked into that number (religiously) because it's been repeated so often
Acts 1:13-14, Luke 17:17
