Being goth is often misunderstood as a superficial fascination with darkness, exemplified by devil worship or excessive makeup. However, the essence of goth culture is much deeper and more nuanced. It is a poetic exploration of the human experience, with a particular focus on life's inherent pain and sorrow. This perspective is not about glorifying suffering, but rather about acknowledging and understanding it as a fundamental part of our existence.

I have just discovered this channel, nice goth music to get me into state of mind where i rule over small village from the heights of my dark castle :) (I truly believe someday i will make this happen, i'm not even kidding lol.) Btw. i don't have any social media (waste of precious god-given (or in some cases devil-given time :p), telegram is fine though, based actually, but i've seen your instagram, just to see who's behind this interesting channel and i would like to mention pretty nice synchronicity that has occured - on your posts you say you are located in Romania (in our Serbian language i think we spell it same as you do in yours: Rumunia) and just now im reading Romanian phylosopher that too has been in Transylvania - the great Emil Cioran. I wanted to read his books (and his soul, in his case "souls" heh) a long time now, and i can say i this week i finally did, amazing writer that crawls straight outta abyss of nothingness...While reading him my mind has opened to a lot of other magical Romanian writers like Mihai Eminescu, Lucian Blaga and i can't wait to read Eminescu's poem "Luceafรขrul".
I swear these majestic synchonicities, no matter how small, give me hope life is not just ordinary biological survival, and they make my life more dreamy, even though i would rather live in a dream than in this life.

@@extravagancja I still haven't read him, but i surelly will soon enough. I always wait for perfect atmosphere around me that matches atmosphere of certain books and authors that i want to read, so now that autumn has fallen over us i will probably, or surely, read some Poe. His "all that we see or seem, is but a dream within a dream" still echoes inside my mind, especially because i have really strong connection with my dream world - if i don't occasionaly remember my dream through entire day, i feel kinda empty and bored...So, for me its all about feelings & atmosphere, and now i know perfect place for reading Poe, through my city runs river, but smaller part of her is in city, most is outside, where trees try to make up a forest and on one side of river behind walking path there is one sink/well/stream of water that emerges out of rock, but the "gothic" part about is that on both sides of well there are big man made stone walls with little grass on top of it, and stone/cobblestine stairs on both side of well and it has multiple levels all made out of pretty big stones, and its big stony back side gets really high and combines with hill and trees, actually it looks like very old ruined tower from middle ages, perfect place for perfect reads. Couple of times i walked through my city's graveyard which is pretty calm, there are lot of beautiful graves and main roads are paved, but there too are that man made rocky/stony fences structures and i really really "feel" that stony structures, i feel certain energy and it makes me feel like im home. Damn, i sure have a lot of spare time writing this lenghty comment, but i think following inner impulse is usually best thing to do, and i made good rest from reading book, so yeah...Did you research Poe's death ? I would like to know more about him, and did you maybe read Pessoa, Fernando Pessoa ? I recently discovered him and i felt shocked when in his quotes i found my entire life...Check him out if you didn't, he to has that Poe'ish feeling to him.

@@lukamilic195 Your comments are amazing and you're so lucky to have a place that really has that gothic atmosphere - a lot more interesting than the dull streets of south London, though we do have some nice graveyards not so far away, eg Brompton Cemetery, where the rooks come down to greet me. I've been reading about Romanian traditions, superstitions, landscape and history, and feel such an urge to go there, as I've started collecting a lot of thoughts and notes for a novel. It's an inversion of Bram Stoker's 'Dracula', in which the descendants of the vampire-hunters become the hunters (payback time for Lord Godalming, Van Helsing et al!). I'm supposed to be proof-reading a very dull technical book right now, but this gorgeous, atmospheric music just hits my senses in all the right spots and all I can think about is my beautiful but deadly countess, planning her next moves as we approach midnight... I shall relax with a glass of something red and maybe dip into Sheridan Le Fanu's 'Carmilla'. I've got Polidori's 'The Vampyre' on the 'to be read next' list. BTW, I can recommend Gabriel Ronay's 'The Truth About Dracula' - it's an old book but full of fascinating historical info. I shall definitely get on to Poe when I can. I'd heard of, but knew nothing about, Fernando Pessoa, who seems very interesting, so thanks for that hint. His Wikipedia entry refers to links with the occultist Aleister Crowley, who, like Bram Stoker and W B Yeats was a member of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, led by a relative of Alice Liddel - the original of 'Alice Through the Looking Glass' and 'Alice in Wonderland'. There are a lot of weird connections here!

@@stephenspark776 They are all connected, but they easily tear apart because they are bunch of sissies after all ๐Ÿคฃ When i think about real men in that "inner circle" Ernst Junger comes to mind...That bullshit Crowley-ian magic and occult bollocks really gets on my nerves, even though i like occult & mysticism, i think a lot of occult & mysticism is a farse...I mean, if you want real deal you can go to hardcore on top of the mountains christian orthodox monastery where monks, among other things, hold dozens even hundreds skulls of deceased monks...They have powerful aura tho, the more "holy" was the life od monk, the more powerfull skull and body after he deceases will be. There are "corpses" of orthodox christian saints that haven't rotten for centuries...I just wan't to have little comparison of small occultist bollocks and real deal, i'm truly in awe before true christianity...Btw. i've read both Crowley and Yeats. Still haven't read Poe tho ahahah, but that book about Dracula you mentioned will definetely go on my reading list, i don't take for granted what people say, i think every word that comes out of everyone, everywhere, anytime is God's revelation...Btw (2.) Couple days ago i've watched for the 1st time Bram Stoker Dracula with Anthony Hopkins and Keanu, ofc. i've gone too high to now lower myself to that childish and laughtable holywood scenario, but in this movie i really did like aesthetics of it, truly amazing. Bella Tar's movies really opened my perception to what true movies look like, check him out, first time i watched his movie i waa literally shocked how something like this is poasible, because i was acustomed to holywood big bangs and explosions...Laat month i have watched Bella Tar's Satantango movie, it's 7 hours long haha, amazing expirience...Oh my, i've written without any particular order, but fuck it xD Too bad i can't express my metaphysical & esoteric and phylosophical knowledge through english language, even tho i resonate with it pretty much
