@lo l lol, there is an infamous debate on the difficulty of the hard versus soft sciences. I once read an article by a PhD professor in physics with a wife in psychology who argued that the soft sciences are actually more difficult to test, prove, and effectually do not get the love and respect they deserve. Honestly, I've known plenty of chemists and the basics of psychology can often escape them. This is because difficulty is relative. To those that who want to perform well in psychology and actual perform research it can be very challenging especially if you don't have an aptitude for the subject. Sounds like to me you're a very opinionated troll here to tear people down. At the end of the day, you do not know how challenging her degree was in comparison to being a chemist...I doubt you've done either, let alone both.

lo l as a chemistry major, i feel like i can say that a lot of the humanities can be just as difficult as stem, if not more. the level of difficulty is relative to the person. i have friends in my major that have failed humanities classes because they find them extremely difficult. don’t generalize.

You came in and made your comment that DID appear to tear Jenna down (even if that wasn’t your intention) and now y’all have had a nice little discussion ab it. Agree to disagree and stop making this comment section look toxic. Dinkfam doesn’t fight like this. We can disagree but y’all could have been much more respectful. You don’t need to be condescending (you are wether you admit it or not it’s very obvious) and they didn’t need to get defensive over an internet comment. If no consensus is going to be reached it’s better to stop the discussion to avoid spiraling into a childish argument like this very much did. Every job is valid and there is no way to prove difficulty since it is relative. Although I’d have to say as someone who is looking into both STEM and Psych as potential future career cluster subjects I think STEM involved more demanding work and Psych took more time. It’s ab what you see as “difficult”.

i saw this idea on another podcast and wanted to ask again: play a game where you make up cults and pitch them to each other trying to get the other person to “join”
the story with jenna and her dad teaching her how to write a paper just gave me war flashbacks of my current situation with my little brother. He’s in third grade and is starting to learn how to write essays and yesterday we spent about 3 hours going over what the 5 parts of an essay were (introduction, body paragraphs 1/2/3, conclusion) and it made me realize how as a college student myself, writing essays has become almost second nature to me, but it is entirely the opposite. It is a skill you have to learn over several years and several attempts and being the one to help my brother learn how to write an essay kind of felt like a full-circle moment for me.

nurgik well his school is still doing online schooling due to the pandemic, and thankfully his teacher has provided video tutorials and plenty of instructions, but since he is used to being taught in-person I just help him at home if he needs extra help.

Podcast idea: Celebrity guess who. A normal guess who game board but the pictures are replaced with people like Cher, guy fieri, dr. Phil, Jeff probst, etc. and instead of asking questions on physical appearance, ask questions like “would I want to hang out with them” and questions that have more to do with your associations and opinions of them

Julien talking about his mom helping him with the project reminds me of this one time that I didn't save a paper and my home computer turned off and my older brother was helping me try to get it back and I started sobbing because the paper was due the next day and he just grabbed me and was like "hey HEY stop crying. We're going to find it. STOP WE'RE GOING TO FIND IT" and I feel like that expresses older brother energy more than anything else ever.

Those childhood stories they told in the beginning reminds me of when I was a kid we had a book with nursery rhymes in it that my mom would sing from to put me to sleep, and sometimes I’d point to a specific song from the book and my mom would say “I don’t know that one” but I couldn’t for the life of me understand what she meant because, clearly, the words were right there in the book! It took my dumb ass some time to understand there’s a melody component to know a song lol

Here’s an idea.
I know y’all liked reading stories on your podcast before, but had some issues with giving credit to the writers (creepy pasta I think it was), and took some of those podcasts down. You should have fans submit their stories (ghost, comedy, suspense etc). Pick the best story submissions to read in exchange for an IG shoutout or something like that so you don’t run into issues with credit. I loved the skin walker and horror stories podcasts y’all have done before. Love y’all so much. Seeing you’re content makes me so happy.
