Maybe 5 or a few, but there was this one star that shined the brightness among all. But as I grew, the time I spend outside decreased. I know it's been a year and a month since the new version has been released but I just wanna say, thank you for this song. This became my comfort and peace during the sleepless nights I've been lost in thoughts that reap me of the rest I need. Even in the old versions of this song this was my light during the days lost in the dark. I'm aware of the themes of this song, however it helped me in a different way. this song always gives me a nostalgic feeling at palagi ko siyang naaalala dito haha. nakakatawa man pakinggan but i really see her as a moon to my sun. she got a beauty like no other else & she always shine the brightest especially on her dark times. 1st Verse: We imagine Luna - alone and hopeful the ciccadas would be able to hear what she has to say.
2nd Verse: Luna describes what Sol means to her - comparing him to the sun which gives her light during her darkest hours.
3rd Verse: Luna describes how she finds comfort in Sol's embrace. I think she is quite depressed and disappointed of the world (puno ng kasakiman) and this gesture of Sol clears the negativities she ruminates, letting her see the world anew.
Chorus Verse: Luna explains how dependent she is to Sol's presence. His light. She is feeling the extremes of negativity whenever he is not around (she CANNOT shine, cold nights produce SADNESS, WALANG kulay ang paligid, WALANG buhay ang daigdig)

Spoiler alert: I have heard the latest version... I think Luna and Sol did not end up with each other. If Sol is not yet married there could be a chance especially if his new flame have issues prompting her to leave Sol.

When I was still a kid, I use to play with my friends even though the moon is already up. And we use to see stars at our night sky. Maybe 5 or a few, but there was this one star that shined the brightness among all.
But as I grew, the time I spend outside decreased. And from there I thought, the stars from the sky up above me are gone, or maybe here in the Philippines, it becamse very rare to see stars. That stars doesn't show anymore in this part of the world.
But I would love to see stars, throughout the time in my life, I think almost 8 years that I didn't see stars in the night sky, I've always thought of seeing them again. Maybe even travelling somewhere where they are very visible. And I use the word, "Maningning" whenever I greet. And everytime I say that word I always think about the stars.

Henlo, it's been months since I made this comment here. Anyway, I met a person who helped me picked up my shattered pieces and I am beyond grateful to have him. He loves me unconditionally. Because of him, I realized that I don't just deserve the Sun(Sol) but actually the universe(him). He is the man I have been praying for to come in my life. so a year or two (nalimutan ko kasi), i searched the latin word for sunshine 'cause i want to call him sunshine in a different language. and i found out that it was "sol". then i went to youtube and this song was on my recommended vids. ang galing lang ni Lord, maybe this song was really meant to be for us. sadly, we parted ways. hindi kami naging mag-on, we didn't exchange i love you's, we weren't clingy with each other, we didn't even admit out feelings, but i really felt the happiness between us, nag-shine kami ng happiness for each other, we became each other's Sol :))

I always play her song whenever I'm happy, sad, or devastated. I've been listening to this even before I lost him or before nagkandaleche leche buhay namin. Dati I just appreciate the song pero now I cry over it na. I lost my boyfriend for almost 6 years slash fiance because of colon cancer. It sucks because we never even had the chance to reach our dreams kasi papunta palang kami dun, college palang kami. Kung kailan naaayos na namin ang lahat para sa mga pangarap namin, kun kailan nag grow up na kami at hindi na kami childish and toxic, kung kailan nagiging okay na ang lahat, saka naman siya nawala. Up until now I still mourn, ang sakit sobra. Hindi ko na alam kung paano ako babangon ulit. Mas gugustuhin ko pa syang makita na may iba na sya kaysa tong ganito na kahit anong gawin ko hindi ko naalam kung makikita ko pa sya. I'm hoping that heaven does exist para kahit dun na lang namin tuparrin mga pangarap namin na hinddi natupad sa mundong ito.

I really hope we'll meet again so that I could tell him na ginawa ko yung best kong gawin yung huling bilin nya sakin which is "keep on living." He wasn't ready to go either, mas ready pa nga ako kasi I would always make him write eulogy letters for my birthdays, kasi I always felt like anytime pwede ako mawala dahil unstable yung utak ko dati pa. We were even planning to have a family after his chemo kahit na ang bata pa namin, kahit na ijujudge kami ng iba, kasi we wanted to have our dreams even from the wrong time. He was so excited with our future, and I was so inlove with the future that will never happen.
P.S thank you for sparing some time to read our story. He wanted our story to be heard and even wanted to make a mark in this universe that once upon a time we existed. I know it's been a year and a month since the new version has been released but I just wanna say, thank you for this song. This became my comfort and peace during the sleepless nights I've been lost in thoughts that reap me of the rest I need. Even in the old versions of this song this was my light during the days lost in the dark. I'm aware of the themes of this song, however it helped me in a different way. Your voice, your covers, your melodies, they are heavenly. All I can say is thank you, really. So much.
