Axtually I considered buying between accord and optima in 2006 and I got accord. But now I regret buying honda. My next car will be 2014 optima.. Kias and hyundais are good these days with an excellent warranty
The engineering in these cars seem superior than current Hondas in terms of innovation and modernization. Honda makes no Turbo Diesel in this class. This is unusual with asian make cars marketed here, tDI's are usually VW's or some other German make. Thus the innovation and breaking away from the usual gas pack. This car has no equal with its mainstream japanese counterparts. Imagine if the logo was replaced by some other mainstream logo it would be flying off the lot.

Actually yes they do offer a diesel engine just not in the states. Which I wish would change.
