Yes, the sweden action moment has a blue H on the bus stop for the Halland region's buses. And the -red placenames are typical for somewhere widely around there too.
hey Rainbolt for the Paris round at 48:12, it says Mary-sur-Marne. French villages name themselves like that when they are on a river. It's the pattern -on-. Here it is the Marne river which runs south east of Paris. Knowing this, it becomes an easy round. You still need to know your french rivers but Marne is south east of Paris at least you have that now :D
33:52 im swedish and i just wanted to say that this is 100% a strat, in the area around stockholm the bus stops will say SL (although u might not be able to see it) and they will most of the time be red (on the top) and white. If it's near gothenburg the sign will be blue and say "Västtrafik", and it will also be blue if you are in the south of sweden, however i dont know what the traffic company is called in the south of sweden (never been there, live in stockholm).
I think it wouldn't work as well as one might hope -- at least not with vc. Since then the objectively best strategy is to take who is most confident and all guess that same location Not always but often enough to make it a bit of a weird gamemode (perhaps?) Thoughts welcomed
HELL YEAH! Even though it's through a phone screen, seeing so many different corners of the globe -- their flora, fauna, geology and observable landscape -- is such an unbelievably incredible learning tool.
I'd like to thank Rainbolt as I never watch the live stream so I can watch this on youtube during work which gives me something to look forward to during the week.
It's funny when they think out loud like: "I think we have ..." and I'm like: "CANADA" and they are like: "...quebec right?"... I'm such a noob. They are region guessing already when I'm guessing the country KEKW
@@ptousig I believe that sometimes people get a black screen, so it is impossible to figure out the location. Make a digestible highlights compilation of great guesses with great reactions coming from all your pro tourneys. I think it would explode on Tiktok. Those instant 5k moments would blow people's minds. Also include those random blackouts for the laughs
how can you digest a video? it is not even a physical object. So your recommendation is very silly. Have a long hard think about what you have done mate.
I saw you make this mistake several time so fyi : in France, road starting with "D" are numbered regarding to the area they're in ("D" as in "département"), so the numbers aren't unique. For example, there are dozens of "D12" all across France, but only one by each "département" (akin to a state basically but much smaller). On the other hand, the one starting by "N" are "national" so their numbers are unique (nationwide). So it's no use looking for a "D" road on the map unless you know the specific area, but you can look for a "N" one.
For the last one, the mountainous parts of AZ & UT have more trees and the desert parts of AZ & UT have more colorful reddish soil. Whereas New Mexico is full of pale whitish scrubland with medium sized mountains here and there. Based on that knew it was NM.
Final round is brutal, that F-350 has a USDOT number on the side, researching it shows it to be registered in Oklahoma. I think that's a Choctaw Nation plate(?) with the slight yellow hue? Unsure, but either way it's made for a really tricky round.
Just commenting on the discussion between Brandiiiboiii and kretzschmusic that starts at 50:51. Brandiiiboiii is right, Afrikaans is definitely not Dutch, and I would say it's not really comparable to the Flemish/Dutch or American/British English distinction. Those are different dialects; Afrikaans and Dutch are different languages, and to me are definitely further apart than those examples (although perhaps not as far as Portuguese and Spanish, the example from Brandiiiboiii). kretzschmusic makes the point that Afrikaans is a daughter language of Dutch, and that's true, but that still makes it a separate language. It's definitely not right to talk about "Dutch SA town names". I doubt they would wander around Paris saying the Latin street names are so funny.
That's with all the locations that are not from the official google coverage or bugged footage (e.g. a private person just made a photo from a certain place and uploaded it or it's just a black screen to be seen) In the semifinal, the camera angle and the visible car indicated that it was not made from the google cars. The rule is to not guess on these inofficial footages and to go eiffel tower instead. Most of this inofficial coverage should be reviewed and removed from A Diverse World, but still some slip through. Good thing, the teams are all experienced enough to recognize them.
Would it be more fair to have a format where you have a permanent multiplier that doesn’t increase?
