swordsman vs stormcaller

Ran into a stormcaller while I was leveling my new swordsman on infected. I'm in junk wartribe gear with no jewelry or anything, but I'm told that my opponent's guild is for newbies, so I don't think I can take this as a sign the new swordsman build is viable.
I get so few even fights it's hard to tell which of my builds are viable for anything other than PvE. Most of my fights I'm outnumbered 5 to 1 or more, and get annihilated in a few seconds. Occasionally I get jumped by a solo ganker, and those fights are more informative. And rarely, I get a fight like this, where I'm at full stam and actually see the opponent arriving.
