- The Gaslight Anthem from New Jersey formed in 2006 and released their new album "Get Hurt" this year. We met Brian Fallon and Alex Rosamilia before their show in Düsseldorf a few days ago. They performed a special semi-acoustic version of their song 'Wherefore Art Thou, Elvis?' from their EP 'Señor and the Queen' that was released in 2008.

Cardinal Sessions was founded in the summer of 2010. They challenge the classic music video and try to replace impersonal footage with immediate and emotional snapshots.
Bands from all over the world with their different genres present their songs reduced to the essence of the musical spectrum - only vocals and unplugged instruments. Due to the spontaneous live-aspect and the approach to record every song without any additional rehearsal, songs emerge that often sound significantly different to their album versions.
We film on locations that the musicians mostly choose by themselves: remote places, frequented streets, parks, woods, fields, bars; nothing is impossible. We have accomplished our goal if the location fits well to the background of the music we and the artists want to present. But our most important purpose is that there are no borders: we film everything that we like, no matter how popular, famous or also unknown a band might be. It is still important for us to support local talents and it will always stay part of our concept.
The Cardinal Sessions team can also be booked: for example to film short documentaries of album recordings, studio recordings or live concert moments that you want to capture.

This is in my top 5 Gaslight songs. I will take any version of this song. I love new interpretations of songs I adore! :)
Just recently discovered this band. I'm addicted. How so years passed without me knowing kills me.
Same here. So glad they're back for another album.
@@davemontore Really? I didn't know that. I knew they broke apart, I'm excited for a new album for sure.
Probably one of my favorite TGA songs. So different from the original. Am I the only one that went weak at the knees when he smiled at the end? Haha.
Same. The smile kills me every time.
Unbelievable version of this song. Top 5 of my all-time Gaslight songs, easy.
This might be his best lyrical work
Man, this is a great version of Elvis
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them. Nice Hat Alex!! Bahahaha
Its criminal for this to have less than 1000 likes.
Dude your lyrics and song writing is Truely incredible!
This is so different from the original but it works REALLY well. Love it. That's one of the thing I like about these guys, their live versions can be so different from the studio cuts that it's like an additional song
Love these guys awesome performances
One view and it became my favorite song...
The pauses in between the verses are so perfect....XOXO
How the fuck have I not clicked on this these last 4 years it's been up!?!
Beautiful!
This was the first Gaslight song I ever heard (off their MySpace page!, haha), and I was instantly hooked..Since then, I've enjoyed every second of them creating music that makes this fellow NJ guy proud!
Haha. I remember their MySpace page. As soon as I heard 59 Sound on the radio for the first time, I looked them up and found them there. I even remember messaging them on there about their song writing and I believe it was Brain that sent me a response back.
awesome band but last 2 albums have been terrible
Get Hurt was weird for me...I listened to a couple tracks on it, then refused to listen to the rest for 5 months because of how much I disliked them. I was afraid it would taint the band for me. Finally got around to listening to it (have a deluxe version, with extra tracks) and some of my favorite Gaslight tracks are on there...and my least favorite. The extra tracks with the deluxe version are REALLY good, should have been on the main release.
Such a beautiful song
So great! These guys are so amazing!
That 2nd verse is amazing, whole song is amazing but that part sticks out
can anyone figure out how he plays these chords?
He just keep a B power chord shape (without actually muting the B and E string) and just changes the bass note for each chord, which are B, Gsharp, Fsharp and E. Hope that makes sense!
With his fingers. Glad I could help
love this song.. but this version really needs the backup vocals i feel
invest in a comb x
He doesn't need a comb!!!! His hair can be however it wants to be
He couldnt do what does if he was worried about things like that all the time
out of tune and out of time... c'mon guys, you're better than that.
Look at Alex's hat
