Every night before I sleep I put a glass of water on my nightstand. Sometimes when I wake up in the middle of the night I take my glass of water, open the curtains and stand in front of the window and then play this song. Now my pad is at the 27th floor so I can easily see the city with the cars moving and some lights blinking and dancing. Before the last chorus I always go:
“This city... must be purged.”
And then the song goes “Who are you? Who are you?” And then I take a sip of my water. I’m a grown ass man and I always laugh after my hilarious skit.
Hopefully my next girlfriend won’t catch me doing it. Feels really badass though.

i seriously love how dark this is, it's a reach of vocals that sound alluring and bam! It hits you with the mystery and thrill. It's like a song used for when you need to get yourself in a powerful head space. I love love love it! -All the love from Chicago!

I stumbled upon Svrcina last year and when first i listened to her, i didn't realize how much i would grow to love her. Both her voice and her songs are so unique and different and mystifying and she's one of the only artists i listen to where i genuinely love all of her music. I am a writer and i listen to Svrcina all the time while writing because it brings my mind to that place of creativity and imagination. Absolutely in love with this!! Prakruthi I can relate to you . I know this feeling very well . I lost myself when I was in school . I lost to discover my talent , my confidence . This dissatisfaction stayed with me upto my college life time passed and I never tried to discover my purpose what I want to do what I need to do . So I did drugs , alcohol all of the bad stuff. I wasted my parents money , myself . It was really difficult for me to leave alcohol but I did and it had effected my confidence . So now I'm 4 years sober but I lost my calm , cool . Now I know I have a purpose and that is to provide for my family but i'm struggling with it. At least I know my purpose , my duties that is to provide for my family . Svrcina is my favorite artist (hands down, no competition) because she's so humble and relatable (not to mention the audio gold that she produces to grace my undeserving ears but whatevs). i’ve had this song on repeat for a good 4 years and i will continue to listen to this masterpiece :)
I feel like this song is less about "I don't know who you are" and more about "which side are you on?" The song asks questions like, "Do you feel safe?" in order to make the person question their side. The "who are you" part is about "I don't know you anymore, you've changed sides." The second verse sounds like it's talking about blood being thicker than water or vice versa- choose between your destiny or where you really want to go. Of course, since this is me, I have to throw in a Star Wars mention. It sounds like something about Rey and Kylo Ren, each trying to get the other to join them and wanting to know what kindof person they really are. lol this is just my take with a dash of fangirl thrown in XD

Courtney Miller It's pronounced "sir-cena" and the genre is what I would consider indie pop/alternative. She's also done a bit of epic pop with Tommee Profitt, and I highly recommend you check those songs out, they're awesome!
