If only Nigar had stayed married to Nasuh Effendi, she would have lived a happy life. He had really loved her and cared for her everytime. He would have kept her happy as his wife. It is even seen that only he was upset at her death.
Of all the fictional characters, Nigar's was one of the most interesting; she played a significant role in adding a flavor and climax to the drama besides the likes of Sumbul and Gul aghas. In fact, Gulfem's character is dimmed out by Nigar's.
She sometimes outshines the main characters lol. She's so good. And the chemistry with Ibrahim is overflowing. Her face so expressive and charismatic but powerful voice.. and without the affair with Ibrahim, the story will be plainly girls fighting in harem and princes coveting the throne

She was technically married to Rustem at that time and not quite free to leave him. So she could not be reunited with her daughter. She was spying on Rustem for Hatice as well, the woman who originally took her daughter from her and almost her life. She did have an active affair with her husband after all. She should have just left Rustem. She should have stayed with the original husband as he was the only man in the entire series worth anything character wise. Not only was her child taken from her so many babies terminated and some of their mothers dying all against their will.
If it hadn't been for Nigar, Hurrem wouldn't have been a sultana. Nigar advised her to behave herself and learn so she could better her situation in the harem. I feel Nigar was very human. She too was a slave so people kept threatening her life, she was trying to navigate the treacherous waters of harem life. She probably said many faithful servants suffer (like María). Then she fell in love with Ibrahim. She shouldn't have but hey, I imagine it's hard to be a young woman and know you will be forever alone because you are a slave/servant. She made mistakes but hey, she still gave Hurrem the right direction when she was a feral newbie in the harem 😉

She was fully aware of the consequences, she worked at Hatice's house and Hatice trusted her but she still did it. And Ibrahim initially did not have feelings for her but Nigar decided she will win his heart over. So even though it was cruel to tell her that her child was dead but Nigar kinda should've known that this is what happens from having an affair with a married man and married to none other but sultan's sister.

Ibrahim and Suleiman characters had monologues, I so much wish Nigar had one! Even in her last moments we don't hear her inner voice. Anyway, it seems the thing called "love" in the show is completely obsessive and destructive and the perfect reason to change a character from cunning to senseless. I can't help hating what the writers did to Nigar's character.

I love Hurrem❤ so much but if not for Nigar’s advice in the early years, Hurrem wouldn’t have been Sulymen’s favorite and later become a great Sultana yet Nigar Kalfa wasn’t faithful to Hurrem though. It’s Sad. Their friendship would’ve been powerful. Oh what a sad ending for our greatest Kalfa❤.

All these actors & actresses are very good looking and the landcscapes look fantastic too ... I loved *Lord of the Rings*trilogy but this historic drama feels a lot more relatable than LOTR while still being a visual treat like LOTR ... Or maybe a better conparison would be with *Game of Thrones* ... What do y'all think?

And Nigar is not actually all that innocent. She was constantly trying to get closer to Ibrahim and when he was sick and delusional she jumped at the opportunity. She was fully aware of the consequences, she worked at Hatice's house and Hatice trusted her but she still did it. And Ibrahim initially did not have feelings for her but Nigar decided she will win his heart over. So even though it was cruel to tell her that her child was dead but Nigar kinda should've known that this is what happens from having an affair with a married man and married to none other but sultan's sister.

Starting from the knowledge that Nigar was first ally to Hurrem then changed side, when she said that her intention altered from killing someone to suicide and then just having a child in her arms, that's just sad, her mind has gone too far for anyone to reach. The harem fight is merciless.

Ibrahim and Suleiman characters had monologues, I so much wish Nigar had one! Even in her last moments we don't hear her inner voice. Anyway, it seems the thing called "love" in the show is completely obsessive and destructive and the perfect reason to change a character from cunning to senseless. I can't help hating what the writers did to Nigar's character.

Nigar was one of my favorite characters until she had an affair with Ibrahim. I think she got pregnant with Ibrahim's baby on purpose.
She's my fave too until her death. She wanted to give Ibrahim a child. Yes, she might have purposely did things to get pregnant but it is still a gift from God.
