Tom and Jerry: Frantic Antics! is a licensed video game that is loosely based on the animated film Tom and Jerry: The Movie. It plays out the general events of the movie, but with no talking or singing from any of the characters, including from Tom and Jerry themselves. It is instead a platformer that turns the events into more video-game appropriate set pieces.

we have a couple TASes of that game as well. one is just catching jerry as quickly as possible and the other gets to the end of every level for 100% completion.

I'm a fan of TASes and didn't know about this game until now. This game looks pretty good, it's the only one that is based on the movie, as the SNES version should have been too.
But instead in SNES we've got random levels that made no sense at all, along with bad gameplay mechanics, in my humble opinion.

I have played lots of bad games and I wouldn't call this game bad. I would call it mediocre. There are a lot of games worse then this one.
