I started investing last year and am now waiting for my female to mature. I'm hoping to breed her in a few years and eventually buy a high-end animal that suits my project goals. I’m looking at five years or more to see the results I’m looking for. Right now it's just a hobby, but I'm looking forward to possibly making it a source of extra income when I retire. Keep up the great work!

Honestly my sales have been pretty consistent all around and I only sell on MM.
I will say though that having a decent inventory, great MM feedback, and constantly staying on top of where the market is and adjusting accordingly along with having repeat customers and being willing to do longer term payments on expensive animals are contributing factors and just posting and waiting for sales is a failing method for many.
I know a lot of people don’t want to deal with payment plans, but I think it’s a great move, especially when most people don’t have piles of cash on hand. I’m saving for a high end animal and I’m probably going to buy it from Miguel because he set up his Patreon as a bank for store credit as well as discounted prices to his members. I love that model.
@@IsaacTheRedBeard yeah for sure! Yeah I love payment plans and will definitely do 4 to 6 months to make it affordable, it gives someone who can't afford a 2-5k animal the ability to get it and gives me a wider market to sell to, I could sit on it for the 4-5 months and even lower the price during that time anyway so why not have guaranteed 3-500 coming in each month?! Plans like that do have to be structured though so you aren't taken advantage of and can count on the money. Also this helps avoid the possibility of a scam buyer, if someone with a newer account buys an expensive animal there's always that worry that you'll end up in a charge back and this kills that worry!
I'm also willing to give a light grace period in the payment too as a week late or lining up on payday for customers and these types of things make you loyal customers.

I think economy plays a big role as do a lot of clcikbate yt videos about the market dying that people make to get a views grab. If people are constantly saying xyz it’s easy especially for newer people to believe that’s the case and that itself creates market uncertainty.

Shows still seem to be a hit or miss, even at same location but different dates.

The market is doing great, there are breeders selling snakes for 15 dollars. Of course people are buying, as the supply increases people will be scarfing up BP's for 5 dollars. Petsmart is selling ball pythons for $50.00, do you think they are buying them for 50 bucks? If Ford starts selling EV's for one grand the Ford EV market will explode.
$15? I would consider myself the lowest tier of breeder and I’ve never sold an animal for that little. The average price my pet grade animals sell for is well over 10x that.
We have never even wholesaled a Ball Python for $15. I think lowest we’ve ever sold a snake at retail was $40 but most pet owners tend to buy in the $100 -$400 range at local shows and online we tend to sell animals between $1k -$5k
