pat breaking a string halfway through their most difficult track to play wallace mouthing the lyrics while slamming the everloving fuck out of his floor tom matt with the oprah bass doing his leg bounce thing reimer showing 0 emotion as he shreds like a madman this perfomance perfectly encapsulates the band
Rip Chris. This was one of my favorite bands in college. Turns out I didn't need "baroque pop" or post-rock or New Weird America anymore when this came out.
that the second half of this song doesn't even need words to envelop you is a pretty powerful thing. women indeed had a rare talent. i was always hanging on to the hope that they would reunite one day. chris's death is tragic for reasons well beyond this band, but i still have never felt so impacted by the death of someone i did not even know. God bless chris, i hope he is resting easy.
I've literally grown up on this song from high school. It's still as incredible as it always was. I had the pleasure of meeting most of the band at some point. Super cool dudes. Glad I got to see them at some point during their endeavours.
who else is going on a women live video marathon
been on one for a few months now

Legendary band, RIP Chris :((
This band was SPECIAL. Pat one of the best guitarists.
They are all great.. but pat was the magic to me
Still the greatest second half of a song ever written.
It was a magical time for me to experience live music in the city of Calgary, and they were a big part of it.
WHY IS THE DRUMMER SO SMALL
He’s bigger now
Wait how did pat even play that riff with a broken string. incroyable

The rest of the band is standing on tables, he is just floor level.

Frustrates me so much how they never got to be a big deal. Like how can anyone watch this and not decide it's the coolest white boy music in history??

I was there and I'll never forget. You can even see my messy, curly hair in the crowd

Back in 2009 the tighter your pants the cooler, more indy and better at guitar you were.

Back when this festival was about giving musicians a chance to play and not about handing money out to queers and brown people
Pat is nonbinary and performs as a drag queen. Good luck in life, you sound like you're doing great :)
speaking of queers check out what patrick flegel (on the right) is up to now lol
