- We enjoyed unprecedented access by invitation from the official Office of Tourism to experience Día de los Muertos in San Luis Potosí, Mexico. We invite you to join us as we continue our overlanding journey around the world.
Día de los Muertos is one of the most important festivals in all of Latin America. This festival is a welcomed assault on all five senses. Enjoy this adventure with us.

🌎 Who we are and what we’re doing:
We’re Eric + Brittany + Caspian Highland, and we’re driving around the world! June-October 2021, we completed our Jeep Gladiator build, shakedown period, and four public speaking events. On October 9, we cross the southern border into Mexico. Over the next 10-15 years, we intend to drive across all six habitable continents on the planet. We started traveling full-time in February 2014 and have never looked back.

I randomly heard on the news today that Tulsa, OK (where I live) is a sister city of San Luis Potosí. I probably wouldn't have given it much thought, but when I heard San Luis Potosí, I thought, "Isn't that where Eric, Brittany and Caspian are?" Yep! Now I've learned how the 2 cities have helped each other since they became sister cities about 40 years ago, including the recent rededication of the fire fighter fountain they gave us. I had no idea. What a small world. Thank you for sharing this culture with everyone! I'm glad you're enjoying the festivities!

An to think of it this is just barely the beginning, with so many other cultures to encounter thanks for the insight
Sometimes it is so hard to just be present. We're dreamers and we're always thinking of the "next" place. Just this morning Brittany woke up and said, I'm ready to go to the next place. It isn't that we don't appreciate where we are, we just know there is so much more to see. Forcing ourselves to be present is a skill we're still learning, ~ Eric
And they say Vegas is called the city that never sleeps.........wow!!!! So many fun adventure and incredible cultural experiences!!! I predict after your family world tour is through, Caspian will continue being a solo adventurer! Once you experience such a grand lifestyle like the one y'all three are undertaking, you just can't quit!!!! Maybe he will moto the world or sail. This is so exciting to see the 3 of you living life to the fullest! Praise God !!!!
