Because h-index of Google Scholar and h-index of SCOPUS are two different things, I miss the descriptive definition of H-index of SCOPUS in your presentation. Could you give a (roughly) quantitative relationship between those two indexes if, assuming, you use all your citation data in Google Scholar transferred fully into SCOPUS? Will your h-index under SCOPUS be close to 63 in your Google Scholar's h-index?

You are impressive researcher too... Wow.

You are wrong @2:09. Lets say a researcher has papers A,B,C,D,E,F,G,H,I and they have citations # of 1,4,1,3,2,1,3,5,6 respectively. That would make their h-index 3 because an h-index of 4 yields only 3 papers which doesnt fit the definition. However, @2:09 you said that there had to be n-h papers with < h citations each which does not work for this example as there are only 4 papers with < 3 citations not 6 (n-h=6)

I agree with you. Your example papers A to I fulfils only half of the criteria, which is a. (have at least h citation each) but not b. the other (N-h) papers have < h citations each. (Btw, in this criterium b. it should be < h, not ≤ h, because criterium a. already uses the term "at least" h). The definition of the h-index is only fulfilled if both criterium a. AND criterium b. are true. In conclusion, if we follow Dr. Garg's definition then your example of papers A to I hasn't given the author an h-index = 3 yet, until one day all the other articles (A, C, E and F) cited at least 3 times.
But then a question araises. If we follow Dr. Garg's definition, what will happen if one of the articles (let say article A that has only 1 citation) never reaches citation at least 3 times until the end of the world :-) ? Then criterium b. is never fulfilled and the author will never achieve any h-index. Therefore, I think something is missing in the definition of the criteria in 2:09.

@@DrHarishGarg thanks for prompt reply. Actually Monday our RPE exam in VTU. same question we have in model paper. Is it enough to define this much, for H index and i10 index illustrations ?
