    Great video thanks. I owned a diavel 3 years ago. I sold it when I bought a panigale, I missed the diavel so much I bought another last week to sit with the panigale 😁
    There both keepers now🤗

    As an owner of the same bike since 2015 I liked your review. Especially when you said it has its own mind and is alive. I couldn’t agree more.
    Cheers

    the Full Termignoni Exhaust comes with a Termignoni ECU + Air Filter. The Termignoni ECU helps with mapping + handling the Exhaust valve delete error code.

    Great vid, man! I recently picked up a Gen 1 and I love it.
    Complains about tire life...
    ...does burnout!

      I know, did think that. But only did it cause the tyres is shot anyway haha 😉

    I much prefer the look of the gen 1 over the newer Diavels.

    I am on second chain at 55k and it almost never needing adjustment like the factory chain...some brands must be very different ...done at least 10k between adjustments and then only minimal. Chain slapping needs sorting out though. The Mitchelins last me double and change over the Pirellis...and they maintain their profile for life of tire.

      What brand chain did you use ? Yes be great if I could get my hands on the michelin tyres, no such luck. 👍

      @@craigslistofprojects3451 I had a bike shop do the change of chain...I will see if I can see the brand mentioned on the invoice once I find that... hopefully in my filing cabinet...was done years ago.

      I did the little mod where you attach a tiny piece of thin rubber to the swing arm where the chain slaps. It was along time ago so I don't remember the details but I know sanity was restored.

      @@mickmccluand4677 yes I heard about that mod, using rubber glued underneath the swingarm. Might have to do the same 👍

    Im looking at a 2013 model right now, any advice/things to look for/things that make you walk away?

    • @craigslistofprojects3451
      @craigslistofprojects3451 2 місяці тому

      @@alfredthegreat9543 ok, definitely make sure it’s had the Desmo service done, check rear tyre wear (haggle price of low) costly to replace, check you have the pin to start the bike as the keyless fob sometimes plays up and you can’t start it, hence needing the pin to override this. Then just your usual bike / vehicle checks etc.
      They all seem to have a lazy start so that’s nothing to worry about, check shifts are smooth and not sloppy. The 2013 doesn’t have the upgraded shifter springs (broke on mine model) no way of knowing unless owner has replaced them. I’d steer clear of high mileage and ones with no service history.

    Hello. Is there a way to do something about the chain problem? I know is not a big problem, but for an expensive bike to adjust the chain once in 3 rides is kinda akward, right ?

    • @craigslistofprojects3451
      @craigslistofprojects3451 2 роки тому

      Hi, not sure you can do anything about it. Maybe to try different chains and see if other brands perform better. The diavel has immense torque and really does give the chain a hard time. I did ride it quite hard though. 👍

    It’s RE TUNED
    RE TUNED
    not de tuned jeeeez

    • @craigslistofprojects3451
      @craigslistofprojects3451 Рік тому

      Yes I guess you could call it "RE TUNED"
      I call it de-tuned since they have reduced outright horsepower.
      Ducati's Testastretta EVO 1198 superbike engine specified 41 degrees of valve overlap, optimal for high-rpm power. The Testastretta 11º engine, designed for the previous Multistrada and used in the Diavel and Monster 1200, reduced valve overlap to 11 degrees, sacrificing top-end power for a low- and midrange boost
      it for low to midrange performance. At the cost of top end horsepower therefore de-tuning it.

      @@craigslistofprojects3451
      All bikes are tuned for a particular purpose or end goal for performance
      They are just tuned differently for a particular task
      If you take the diavel along regular roads here in uk it’s like an absolute missile but presents its power differently but not better just different
      These conversations happen regularly when someone says detuned
      Detuned gives visions of a bike that has had its balls cut off but it hasn’t it’s just in a different state of tune
      Some guys do say de tuned but the actual engineers always say re tuned
