That's the second thing I changed on my daughter's 08 mazda3 2.3l . I changed tge sensor it showed on my reader first (output shaft sensor). Fixed it..costly, but fixed (new TCM).

Iv seen this a lot actually lol. Its a manual right? The manual actually tells you, if you havs this problem, to put it in neutral and release the clutch and try again. Its a very common problem from what iv heard and i get the same problem. The only thing that helps is putting it in neutral and releasing the clutch and then trying again

I have a 2006 mazda 3 automatic The AT icon lights up after about 10 mins of driving The car is not shifting properly, the shifts are a bit delayed and they become hard shifts after the AT lights up. Where did you get you replacement tcm? The dealership wants close to $700 for a new one. I have code p0753 that popped up and changed solenoids a and b and changed the filter and oil as well but after I drove it 90mi the code came back and it wouldn't go past 3rd gear so I'm assuming I need a new tcm

Thats also a common problem. I read Somewhere else here on some UA-cam comments that that can be a secondary issue. But once you repla that as well, you won’t have anymore problems. I actually bought a remanufactured TCM, and relocated my TCM ( as it’s actually the heat from the transmission that kills the electronics). I installed a bracket (attached to the back of the battery box) so the replacement TCM is away from any heat.
Having the same problem, I decided to send it out for repair, however vehicle still having the same concern, have bench tested all the solenoids and also harnesses checks ok. Any other successful repairs besides TCM?

yup ur transmission is already done if you already change the ecm and nothing happen instead it became worst thats it you need to look for a new or good raplacement tranny

Just base in what u said i guess u had a transmission problem but ur mazda is 05 ur tcm and ecm are one from what i know.. But try a more advanced obd2 scanner there should be a code if ur car wont move

However I seen that AT light come on before and didn’t know if the TCM is the culprit. The problem is when I drive at Hugh speed above 120km/h at times the AT tries to down shift on its own and it gives a jerk. And gives me error code P2177 " Fuel control system too lean A ". well thats need a deep diagnostic but start checking ur datastream do we have lean or rich condition check for vacuum leak start with ur intake manifold clean ur air filter diagnose us maf /IAT clean it with maf sensor cleaning diagnose ur o2 sensor check the fluctuation of upstream and downstream ...its gonna be a heek of diagnostic bro

No, it depends on your engine type as well. If you have a. 2.0 litre engine, the transmission control module type will start with ” LF “. So it has to be matched to your engine.
Hi randomly today my car wasn’t shifting into higher gears and then it got lower and lower and now if I start my car it doesn’t drive whatsoever when I hit the gas and I felt it shake and it went into drive and went forward but then it “disconnected” again and my engine just runs freely. It’s a very common failure, as the heat from the transmission kills the electronics. Relocating the replacement module away from the transmission will stop the problem happening on the replacement transmission control module.

Move the TCM to the firewall instead of putting it back onto the transmission. The heat from sitting on the transmission creates the problem for the TCM.

theres a big chance you had a bad tcm like mine but before you do any repair scan ur car for codes after that change ur tranny filter ang tranny fluid most of the time its only clogged tranny filter
When i first start the car an drive it, its fine no AT light on but once i turn it off and start driving AT light comes on i clear the obd and its ok but once i turn off the engine and restart it AT light turns on is this the tcm problem or salenoid

@@asianmechanicguy6483 can you tell me why the car a Mazda 6 2006 Runs fine on a cold start up and then once it warms up after about 20-25 minute drive it will literally rip me into 3rd gear damn near getting whiplashed. This has been an ongoing issue I have been dealing with. However if I disconnect the battery for 5- 30 minutes the computer resets the check engine light And the tcs warning and the car runs fine, again within the same time frame amount. And that alleged safe mode (3rdgear) has to do with the error code P0766. I need to figure out what part needs to be replaced. I have to get the paper o'reilly's gave that has the other code. It has to do with a shift solenoid B I believe. On the overall issue I read that one of those codes could be in reflection to the other. I wasn't to fix the first cheapest code and see if the issue will resolve the code .. thx so much
@@kennethbrown8362 mazda has this tcm problem for the fast couple of years unfortunately we gamble in this kind of repair by just replacing tcm from junkyard and we had luck of it..but if uou really want to fix its not gonna be easy cuz u need to backprobe solenoid wire on the valve body going to the tcm ..check resistance while the car is warm etc...its complicated bro to be honest with you

I have a 2009 Mazda 3. Car went out while driving. When I turn the car on, it just revs and stays running in any gear if I let off the clutch. I still need to use the clutch to put it in to any gear. Someone over the phone thought that sounded out of the norm and said to look in to bleeding my clutch. My fluid was damn near empty when I checked it. Took more than half a bottle to fill.

@@IsaiahFelix mahabang diagnostic yan kung nandito ka sana sa lugar ko pwede kung I duplicate ung nangyayari depende na sa mekaniko na titingin dyan dapat mayrun silang advanced obd2 scanner para hindi huhulaan lang. Kung ako ang gagawa marami akong ichecheck dyan wiring resistance solenoid resistance idodown ko ung transmission pan ichecheck ko kung my metal parts. Ichecheck ko ung tranny fluid ung amoy ung color ung level.. Ichecheck kung nagkakaproblema lang sya kung nakawarm up na marami bro hundreds scenario ang pwedeng mangyari dyan so kailangan mo ng good mechanic...

I just bought a 2007 mazda 3 I currently am currently facing the exact same issue receiving the same code "P0753 Shift Soleoid A Electrical" any advice?I took it to mechanic They did not even look into the engine they just drove it & based off the driving , engine light being on + diagnosis they say its a transmission problem I explained this video & many others I watched they maybe they should access it this way and possible change the TCM because that was a fixer for alot of the mazda's they said no I need a whole new engine. Any help ?
well thers is a issue on ur tranny but u can try this approach for the main time change ur tranny filter and fluid after that drive ur car if the issue is still there then u might try to swap a used tcm like what i did

Try an Automotive electrician, he should have industry contacts with people who do the TCM module repairs.

Are tcm’s compatible? E.G can I replace a sp23 07 tcm with 2010 sp25 tcm

mostly likely u had a bad tcm ..Sometimes cleaning the connector might work for a bit but then u need to replaced the TCM still

yup if your car wont shift to any gear its stuck on only in one gear let say 3rd gear then theres a big chance u had a bad tcm

I really need help with this issue,the TCM has different part numbers for a 2007 Mazda3 does the part numbers make a difference,I looked the part number up before purchase and it said L32E 189E1B the part mumber on the old one is L34T 189E1A does this make any difference
use tcm with thesame part number
Move the TCM to the firewall instead of putting it back onto the transmission. The heat from sitting on the transmission creates the problem for the TCM.

theres a big chance you had a bad tcm like mine but before you do any repair scan ur car for codes after that change ur tranny filter ang tranny fluid most of the time its only clogged tranny filter

When i first start the car an drive it, its fine no AT light on but once i turn it off and start driving AT light comes on i clear the obd and its ok but once i turn off the engine and restart it AT light turns on is this the tcm problem or salenoid
theres a lot of complain and incident regarding transmission issue with this mazda 3 and mostly the culprit is the TCM..l'll go with the TCM right away...

@@asianmechanicguy6483 can you tell me why the car a Mazda 6 2006 Runs fine on a cold start up and then once it warms up after about 20-25 minute drive it will literally rip me into 3rd gear damn near getting whiplashed. This has been an ongoing issue I have been dealing with. However if I disconnect the battery for 5- 30 minutes the computer resets the check engine light And the tcs warning and the car runs fine, again within the same time frame amount. And that alleged safe mode (3rdgear) has to do with the error code P0766. I need to figure out what part needs to be replaced. I have to get the paper o'reilly's gave that has the other code. It has to do with a shift solenoid B I believe. On the overall issue I read that one of those codes could be in reflection to the other. I wasn't to fix the first cheapest code and see if the issue will resolve the code .. thx so much
@@kennethbrown8362 mazda has this tcm problem for the fast couple of years unfortunately we gamble in this kind of repair by just replacing tcm from junkyard and we had luck of it..but if uou really want to fix its not gonna be easy cuz u need to backprobe solenoid wire on the valve body going to the tcm ..check resistance while the car is warm etc...its complicated bro to be honest with you

I have a 2009 Mazda 3. Car went out while driving. When I turn the car on, it just revs and stays running in any gear if I let off the clutch. I still need to use the clutch to put it in to any gear. Someone over the phone thought that sounded out of the norm and said to look in to bleeding my clutch. My fluid was damn near empty when I checked it. Took more than half a bottle to fill.

the car is fix and i sold the car long time ago this is one of the common issue of mazda 3 but its an easy fix as long u got the right tcm

I have my 2009 Mazda 3 it has a similar problem sometimes it works fine and other times it stays in third gear with the AT light on I put a scanner in it and I got the code u0101 sera la TMC?
no communication codes try no clean connection first
Clean all the connectors and it's still the same. The strange thing is that sometimes the AT code comes on with the traction control light

You have to remove the battery box, and you will see it mounted on the transmission case.

Kung ako ang gagawa marami akong ichecheck dyan wiring resistance solenoid resistance idodown ko ung transmission pan ichecheck ko kung my metal parts. Ichecheck ko ung tranny fluid ung amoy ung color ung level.. Ichecheck kung nagkakaproblema lang sya kung nakawarm up na marami bro hundreds scenario ang pwedeng mangyari dyan so kailangan mo ng good mechanic...

hello ! I just bought a 2007 mazda 3 I currently am currently facing the exact same issue receiving the same code
"P0753 Shift Soleoid A Electrical" any advice?I took it to mechanic They did not even look into the engine they just drove it & based off the driving , engine light being on + diagnosis they say its a transmission problem I explained this video & many others I watched they maybe they should access it this way and possible change the TCM because that was a fixer for alot of the mazda's they said no I need a whole new engine. Any help ?
well thers is a issue on ur tranny but u can try this approach for the main time change ur tranny filter and fluid after that drive ur car if the issue is still there then u might try to swap a used tcm like what i did
