It's interesting to note that the Ware Union Station was actually not located in the same spot it is today. Originally the station stood right where Knox Ave meets Maple St. on the west side of the tracks in the parking lot of the Holy Cross Polish National Church. At some point or another the station was lifted and moved across the tracks to it's current location. Also the track Jim is looking at, at 3:35 is not the loop track mentioned earlier, that was a separate spur siding to another customer.

Was there an actual bridge for the Central Mass at Gibbs crossing, or was the CM already gone by the time the grade crossing was eliminated?

Looks like the CM and the Ware River line grade crossing at Rt. 32 was up on the embankment, and Rt. 32 was moved and widened some time later. That is probably when they built the bridge over Rt. 32. It would be interesting to find out when that bridge was built. Don't know if the CM had a bridge there also, or was Rt. 32 moved and widened after the CM was gone? Did both have a narrow bridge of their own over Rt. 32, and then Rt.32 was widened and a new bridge was built for the Ware River Line, and the CM bridge was removed since it wasn't needed anymore?
