By and large, pirate radio did not interfere with already established stations. They operated on empty frequencies and even between the bands on shortwave. Criticise pirate radio if you will, but let's keep the facts straight.
I sometimes listen (not often) to Absolute radio 1215 am and it sounds terrible swooshing in and out and is usually echoey..middle of two transmitters??.. This is supposed to be a professional setup but dont deliver the goods. Im sick of Magic as they always play the same guff day in day out, a request was turned down recently because it was a funky soul track, the dj DLT said that it didnt conform to middle of the road 'music' and rudely dismissed it..TURNCOAT..as he was a Pirate in the 60's
