If you’re talking about picking Jd or what’s his face I agree. I hate when non rpg games force you to make that kind of decision because of how it’ll affect the sequel. I don’t even think that many people chose what’s his face over Marcus Fenix’s literal son, his last remaining family after his father sacrificed himself, his best friend who’s like a brother also sacrificing himself, and finally his wife dying offscreen. I wasn’t gonna give Marcus more suffering even if I find jd kind of annoying.
@@AztecFlameGod13 What was disappointing for me was the scene after you make your choice. After seeing both versions, there's not much difference between them other than Marcus' reaction if you chose JD. The other guy's name is Del btw.
Jules, I'm really enjoying the fact that you clearly have (like many of us) more time on your hands, and maybe going... a little...mad. It's entertaining to say the least. :-D

Smack a pair of balls against my forehead, I appreciate each and every video you put out. When you said that little rant about Bandersnatch and the illusion of free will it hit hard. I live in the USA and I am unsure if you are following what is happening here, but it is really bad. We are basically at the moment where if we don't choose protesting and resistance we are looking down the barrel of losing any Democratic choice. I really appreciate every outro you do as well, I find myself welling up with tears because it sounds as if you understand the struggle. That struggle is real and hearing you speak from the heart makes many of us feel like we aren't alone in all of this, so for all that you do I sincerely thank you.
I'm happy with the way the walking dead telltale games did it - all I was told was my experience would change based on my choices, that's exactly what happened. I was best bros with Kenny in my playthrough, helped him deal with loss but my friend hated the murdering coward - we each had completely different feelings towards the character as we played. Could it have been done better? Yes, very much so. Very, very much so haha! But did I make choices that affected how I played the rest of the game? Also yes.
The Infamous series has some pretty lame "moral" choices that decide whether you become a hero or a villain. The choices in the first Infamous were particularly bad because doing anything to help yourself is portrayed as evil. In one of them, you're forced to choose which to save from certain death: your girlfriend, or a small group of total strangers. I don't think it's evil to choose the girlfriend, but the developers apparently do. They even punish you for it by having her treat you like a scumbag for saving her and dump you like a sack of moldy potatoes. Great games for the most part though
@@SlaveKnightGael1579 It's still not evil. You were doing it out of love. Most people would do the fucking same in real life. If there's a crisis, what's your priority, your loved ones or a bunch of strangers? It's a stupid moral choice. A better idea would have been having one of those strangers be an important character that can help stop the villain. That way you actually give some importance to the other characters, and your girlfriend has a valid motive to be upset, that you could have stopped all this and didn't.
@@@Dreadjaws "your loved ones or a bunch of strangers?" you mean doctors , who can save thousands of life ? that's a good moral choice , you either save your girlfriend or the doctors .

I honestly don’t see an issue with the game of thrones choice in context of both the game of thrones world and Ramsey Bolton the character. If anything I think it’s brilliant in its execution. The guy is a monumental jerk in both books & tv and the fact that there is no real way to survive this encounter helps cement that about Ramsey in game and that no matter what you do Ramsey is the true one in control of your destiny in that situation. So him killing you makes a tonne of sense within the world of game of thrones and to be able to escape that outcome in game diminishes the character development of Ramsey in the larger narrative.
I agree, I think the Walking Dead examples were way better -- whenever you have to choose to save someone in the WD games, the person you save will still die at some point anyway.
There were a couple of episodes of the Pokemon anime where Team Rocket used guns, one was to hold up a supply shop (in the Squirtle Squad episode) and was edited for Western audiences and the other was when they held a park ranger hostage in an attempt to abduct a rare and endangered Pokemon (Dratini) from the Safari Zone...that episode was simply skipped in the West and never translated, which is a shame because that's the one where Ash caught his 30 Tauros.
In the second army of two, almost all choices are story wise, neither here nor there. Yes if you choose the "good" choices the mercy and decent ones, there are lookups that you will get that, you won't if you choose the other option. But story wise not so much. For example, the first choice comes after you complete the training level. You are told that you client wants you to kill your guide. If you choose kill well he dies. But if you choose to spare him, you se a video of him escaping, go to a Pacific island with money in a bag, then you se him sleep in a chair at the beach, then a guy comes out of the ocean with a gun and yeah Guess the rest. All are like that choose good see some thing bad happen, choose bad and see something bad happen.
Is anyone else confused about the bandersnatch one? Bc most of your choices *totally* matter? There's so many different endings you can based on what you choose and how many times you replay? You can get him to get an A on his video game by having him go insane, you can end up with a 4th wall breaking ending, you can have him die, his friend can die, or you can get what I'd consider to be the 'true' ending with the mom (especially how the music changes.... :( ).

Fallout 3, the Tempeny Tower quest. You are told the humans comfortably living there are evil and racist and evil so you have to help the poor sewer ghouls get in. The thing is, Tempeny's argument is that both groups aren't compatible and mixing them will only bring dread for one or another, while ghouls say that's xenophobic horse crap and everything's gonna be alright for everyone. You don't help the ghouls, the game makes you feel evil and racist and evil; you help the ghouls and so time later there's no more humans living in the Tower because they all have been forced out or something else. According to the quest's own failed plot, Tempeny's was right all along. In second place, the Incubus in Witcher 3. There aren't wild incubus out there to get an unique ingredient from and the only two you encounter are in a distressful situation where you have to choose between helping them and missing the ingredient forever or getting the ingredient but feeling awful afterwards.

@@FnRenner (?) Jesus Linares Guevara will remember that.
Succubus, whatever tf
Pretty sure you guys did a list like this one before. I could be wrong but I don’t think i am.
